I'm beyond thrilled to report I've won another wonderful prize from Uniko - and the bonus? a Guest Designer spot for their Challenge #46 for March & April!
Here is our inspiration, and their Optional Twist:
Now just when you think I might color up those GORGEOUS Gerberas once again, I've switched it up with their Originally Organic stamp, and die combo!
My use of the Optional Twist may not be evident, but our love of Cadbury Mini Easter Eggs is what my tummy was thinking of ... check it out... do my tulips remind you of them? are you a fan?
I even found a way to sneak that wood grain in...
Thank you, Uniko, for your generosity, and this invitation to play cards! Of course we want all of YOU to play, too! Come along with me to the Uniko Challenge #46 blog post... and thanks for stopping by!
So pleased to have you GD this time Michele. What a fab take on the pic and I hadn't noticed the link between the blooms and Cadbury mini eggs but I can't get them out of my mind now! :)
Congratulations on your guest spot, Michele! How fun for you! Your card here is beautiful. I like the speckled look on your tulips and the heat embossing/die cut offset a bit. I have never had a Cadbury egg of any sort, so can't tell you of any resemblance. I've been a die hard Hershey's mini egg fan my whole life and never looked beyond them. You say Cadbury and I think of the commercial with the lion in the bunny ears, so quite honestly (and very silly of me) I thought I might see a bitty lion or something. LOL Thank you for sharing your wonderful, creative talents! Big hugs!
Congrats on your GD spot at Uniko. Very inspiring card Michelle and beautiful 'mini egg' coloured flowers. Stef x
Wow, Michelle, these are stunning and such an unusual way to use the dies. Love them, Jo x
I love the way in which you used the die cut. The peeking woodgrain is fabulous. COngrats on the GD gig too!
Beautiful Gerberas Michele, those die cuts are so lovely!
What a pretty card ! So clever use of the Originally Organic stamp and die combo. Love the little spots of colours on the flowers. Very original. And thanks to be our talented GD for this challenge. x
This is just lovely Michele! It's oozing with Spring. I used to buy Cadbury eggs for Joe at Easter. His only request now are Reese's eggs!
Stunning and very clever, Michele! The addition of the wood-grain really makes your Cadbury blooms POP!! Congratulations on the GD gig at Uniko! Hugs, Darnell
Congrats on your GD gig! Love the clever and cas design here Michele!
Guest designing again. Way to go, Michele. Off-setting those dies was a genius idea to let the woodgrain show through. You are indeed the DCQ.
Oh Michele! I am sure they are just as thrilled as you are when they see how you have totally rocked this challenge with these beautiful products!! woo hoo!! and congratulations on your win. The gift that keeps on giving friend.
Now how fun would that be to have Easter eggs blooming in our gardens, Michele ... yum, yum, yum! The same words apply to your gorgeous card ... glorious white on white embossing ... so clever to have that cool wood grain paper peeking though the offset space ... and those tulip eggs ... scrumptious pops of delicious colour! Congratulations on your GD spot with Uniko ... such stunning inspiration, thank you! Hugs, Anita :)
Oh I'd love to have Peeps blooming in my yard! But tulips will do nicely, too. Congrats on your GD spot--you'll rock it like you always do! ;)
Congrats Michele on your prize and GD gig! How fun and exciting!!! What a cool looking and beautiful card Michele! I don't eat Cadbury Mini Easter Eggs so not sure if your tulips look like them or not. lol But I do love the beautiful colors of your tulips. Hugs, Brenda
Congratulations on your guest spot at Uniko, Michele! Your Cadbury Easter Eggs/tulips are so pretty! The spatters (?) make the tulips really look like the surface of the chocolate.
I love that you white heat-embossed the stems and leaves and left them uncolored, and that you let the wood grain peeking through the die-cut aperture. Very unique design! Hideko xx
This is beyond stunning!! I LOVE how you made the stems white and only colored in the flowers. GENIUS that you are!!
Wow, this is gorgeous and creates a wonderful effect!
Sighhhh...such an innovative, inspired showcase of one of my favourite stamp/die combinations! The pops-of-colour blooms are wondrously pretty and yes, they do remind me of the Mini Easter Eggs (okay, craving sparked)! Thrilled that you're playing cards with us for this challenge!
PS. Did you see the new gnome images over at Stamping Bella? Just sayin' *grin*
Fabulous idea! Love the white embossing and touches of color offset in the negative space!
Gorgeous, Michelle! Love this creative design with just the flowers in color and just a bit of woodgrain peaking through.
I'm so ashamed that I've been MIA for the past few days, when all this time your gorgeous card was here for me to admire!
Congrats on your well-deserved Guest DT spot, Michele! Your 'Cadbury Easter Egg Tulips' are absolutely beautiful! I love how you added texture to the blooms and dimension to those fabulous embossed leaves...and how your woodgrain panel makes everything pop! A truly lovely take on the challenge, my friend...I LOVE this card!!!
SUCH a clever design, I absolutely adore it!!!
I'm so excited that you are guest designing with us at Uniko Michele and your card is simply bursting with inspiration and beauty. Gorgeous use of Uniko goodies. x
Love the way you've coloured the flower heads on these pretty die cuts! So very pretty and allowing the wood grain to peek through too! Thanks so much for being our Guest Designer this month! Deborah, xx
My favourite kind of cutting and sticking, Michele.
