After four really fun, but really hot days in Florida recently, I can't say I'm unhappy about a cool down here at home in Michigan … our Inspired By #39 graphic says let's 'cozy up' beautifully!
I pulled out my EH Plaid Builder for the Buffalo plaid, and a fabulous set from Waffle Flower called Books and Coffee which features their darling Big Bear and Bird duo. It has not been given enough love here in my craft room … hope you love them as much as I do!
I'm pretty sure I had the same glasses once upon a time!
I was Inspired By:
the fabric, and shape of the bean bag
the brown bear on the pillow
and the basket of books …
So... what will inspire YOU to play along this week?
It's not often you'll find Halloween, and Christmas combined in a release, right? But Alma has so much fun to share, she just couldn't stop herself - you'll understand why by the time you reach the end of this fun Hop!
For today's Hop, I've created two little mantle décor pieces for Halloween... not too spooky, but fun! The first features the 'free with purchase' die called Portrait of Mew:
This next used a fun Sugar Skull die...
Card base was made from Round and Round dies
TCP's gorgeous new Christmas Seal stamp set made simple, CAS Christmas cards, and decorated the envelopes as well:
Here's a little closeup of the clear-embossed greeting...
The extra-gloss comes from two coats of clear embossing powder!
I cannot leave you without a bit of fun from Better not Pout:
Who says you can't teach a cat to beg?
It is always fun to share what's new with mew from The Cat's Pajamas … all products are available today at The Cat's Pajamas shop! But first, it's time to send you off to the delights from Christine Okken… you'll surely find a fun combination of fab-BOO-lous, and sweet there!
As of the moment I am adding my card to the CAS[E] this Sketch blog, Chrissy hasn't posted her card yet! I don't know about you, I always wonder: what inspired Chrissy? We'll soon find out... until then, take a peek at her Sketch:
Then, a look at my card...
If nothing else, I do hope it makes Chrissy smile … she's so much fun to play cards with! So are YOU! hope you play along this week!
Could there be anything more beautiful than the colors of Fall? Okay, those Springtime greens are pretty hard to beat! But, when you live in the land of Maple trees, shades of orange abound!
The muted, grayed-down shades of this week's Inspired By photo make my heart go pitter-patter! and so does white china!
TCP This Could be Vodka dies, and Altenew Beautiful Day stamps and dies
Rusty Hinge, and Hickory Smoke distress inks imperfectly smooshed onto a panel of water color cardstock set a wonderful table-scape for my little cups, and bowl. The same inks were used to water color those little sprigs of fall foliage.
Since I have a wee bit of experience using Sketches, I couldn't help but make a card for the Ellen Hutson Sketch challenge …
Combined with an older Pinkfresh Studio patterned paper, those little candy canes were just the decoration I needed for my lollypop stick! It came by way of the new Ginger House stamp set, and dies. The Classic Block Alpha dies were used to create my sentiment.
… for Christmas treats ... and you!
Anybody else humming 'good ship lollypop' about now? ha! Hope you have a chance to play along, too! You'll find all the details here at the new EH blog!
I know you'll agree that this year is disappearing before our eyes! Good thing we've plenty to smile about... hope to bring another to you today... The Cat's Pajamas September release is coming next week!
How about a peek?
This creepy character is just one of four ghoulish guys in the FabOOlous set … I borrowed a sentiment from an older Need Glasses set for the front... and added a bit of my own humor to the inside. Yeeesh… I hope he used that pin to stir his drink! lol
Could you stand another snEEK? I just love this newest addition to our Tag Duo line! Could there be a better time of year to pull out those fun patterned paper from our stash?
My teammates are sharing lots of cuteness this week. Check out each one, leave comments, and watch for our cards on IG, too, please - a little $10 gift voucher is hidden daily ... here it comes:

I'll be traveling to meet crafty friends in October … but, sadly, will miss a wedding because of it. That calls for an extra special wedding card - AND gift! I used their lovely invitation to create such a card... Snailed It! and the coordinating dies provided all extras needed to make it special.
The kraft paper, stamp, and darling photo
have been repurposed from the invitation.
I created a photo pocket for the card … just in case they'd like to swap this out for one from their wedding day. My card is also a nice 5x7" 'frameable' size.
Of all the things there are to love about Autumn, the colors, and woodland treats are among our favorites … what more beautiful time of year to begin a life together? you're likely to be happy to see I left off the snail... lol
Oh I do love Retro CTS week! Especially when it takes me back to before I even made cards … and to see wonderful designers who once graced the CTS team! Karolyn Loncon is someone whose style I still admire. Here is Karolyn's Sketch #55 from November 2013!
I dug deeply to find a panel with those wonderful open-stripes - alas, I didn't have one. Well, you know by now that I don't let a little thing like that hold me back...
In lieu of that panel, I impressed a panel onto my card front using a Wonky MFT rectangle - you might not see it, but the recipient will!
Thanks for stopping in today! I do hope you'll find a bit of inspiration, albeit a bit out of the ordinary!
