Waffle Flower Crafts - Meet the Maker!

The Ellen Hutson spotlight will be on Nina from Waffle Flower Stamps today … I do have my favorites, Nina is one of them!  Her Sandy Toes set is another... used here [and many more times - you'll find them at my Instagram feed @mfergu01]

Inside:  … said NO ONE EVER if they live on The Big Lake in April!!!

I have made an entire series of cards with Sandy Toes … this time, those kids have a different story to tell:  they are NOT running toward the Lake, the little dude could be carrying a sled, and the girl?  she's putting her shirt on as fast as she can!!!!  [notice how pale they are?  yep, I resemble that... we call it 'pasty white' where I live.]

Now.  I'm very sorry to say this sale does not include the new.  wonderful.  much desired.  craft mat.  BUT there are so many Waffle Flower products to love!!

That little Unicorn might be on my radar … let's shop!!

CAS[E] this Sketch #319

I know Chrissy has a wonderful card for her Sketch #319 inspiration …

I had a jaw-some new-to-me set to play with - thanks to a very sweet friend of mine!  I couldn't wait to take a bite out of it!

Here's the fun I had with the inside sentiment:

That Memory Box Oceana Border hasn't seen the light of day in far too long - isn't it the cutest?

A simple bit of ink-smooshing prepped my new friend's ocean using Distress Broken China, and Peacock Feathers.  A drop of Nuvo Clear Glaze brings out his eyes, and brightens his 'smile!'

Now... let's head over to CTS to see what my team has to offer - it'll be worth the click!  and we can't wait to see what your brilliant minds see in Chrissy's Sketch!

I took my cue from the colors, textures, and those drawers today for Inspired By #69!  OH and a few new
Pink Fresh Studio goodies!

Because I'm trying to deduct, not add-to my snippets...
why not two cards?

We'd welcome two from YOU, too!!
Come play!

Good morning, my friends!  So glad you stopped in today, 'cuz I had a fun day of playing cards yesterday … hope you can chill out for a bit!

I had the most amazing day … the 70's called my name the first time I opened this funky, and hip, Flower Power background, and Bloomin' Cute dies from The Stamp Market!

background from my snippets - no idea!

What do you think?  Pretty groovy, right?  Thanks for chillin' with me - it's been a gas.  peace out...

The Flower Challenge #31 a Sketch!

Now you might think that because I'm on a Sketch challenge team that this is easy for me … you'd be wrong!  But today I was easily inspired by this one:

I have had NBUS in my stash for so long that it's now discontinued - do NOT let that happen to you!  But, seriously?  This set from The Stamp Market is too pretty to let a little thing like extinction get in the way!

That little Gingko embossing folder is here as a reminder to use it again soon!

PinkFresh Studio April 2019 Challenge

Lea has given us gorgeous Spring time colors to play with this month … and I have put a few new Pinkfresh products into my stash!  It's time to put them together for their April 2019 Challenge - Frames & Shakers.

Here is how I managed to frame my Dainty Blossoms, without a shaker element...

Since I'd already added a layer of fun foam under the scalloped Classic Edger panel, adding another for a shaker element was out of the question if this were ever to be mailed!  All those little grey dots were re-dotted with Nuvo Clear Glaze to give them the look of shaker-style!

While I had these wonderful dies out, I cut enough to fill a garden … and even managed to make a card with the snippets left over!

Hope you are enjoying many blessings today... I certainly count you all among the blessings in my life... happy Easter!

Another two for Twofer: Zoo animals

Don't say I didn't warn you … yes, I'm back!

There are a few little bears who make even a sick person [or someone who is facing a challenge of their own] smile!
They just had to play with the Twofer Zoo Challenge #15!

Have you heard of the Boy in a Bubble?  How about a bear in a bubble?  Isolation never looked this cute...

That same little Wplus9 Little Dreamers set came to
my aid … the sentiment and bubbles?

Challenges are tough … it's so nice to have a
helpful hand to hold!  [or someone to pull you out of it!]

That's it for me this week … to those friends who will celebrate Easter on Sunday, be blessed!

Twofer Challenge #15: Zoo Animals!

A visit to the zoo is one of our favorite things to do!

These guys?  Totally make me smile!  They also make a cute Graduation, and retirement card for the

An oldie but goodie from Wplus9 called Little Dreamers that I'm thrilled to finally call my own ...
makes me think of the game Barrel of Monkeys!

It's not unusual to find a Zip-line in Zoos today … this guy
saw an opportunity to zip right outta there!

So there you have it!  I'll be back … there are a few bears in this set that I'd like to help escape!!

CAS[E] this Sketch #318 Retro!

It's that time again … let's go back in time to Sketch #218, shall we?

I know this is from 2017, but does anyone else feel like it was yesterday?  Anywho… here's an updated version!

I'm calling this one
'Floral - graphic style!'

I first stamped my card front with The Stamp Market's Confetti Background clear stamp, and then went right over the top of it with their [no longer available] Tropical Blooms, using Catherine Pooler inks - still my faves for color... but I LOVing a new black: Versa Clair Nocturne - amazing!
That sweet little sentiment is from an oldie-but-goodie W&W set called Sentimental Endearments... man do I love that font!

Hope you love our Sketch - don't forget to share your original, if you played along with Sketch 218!  Now let's go see the new and improved cards from my team and CTS318...

Inspired By #68... earth day

I have a sweet little grandson whose birthday is on Earth Day!  Be sure to check out my inside sentiment... we think he's out of this world!

For Inspired By #68, I've pulled out a few of my favorite Waffle Flower Crafts sets.  That marbling set was just the ticket to create by grey globe print, and their Books & Coffee set was fun to play with for the assortment of décor on my shelf … see if you can spot them.

Inside:
"Of all the grandsons turning eleven on Earth today,
we peek-a-you as the best of all!"

Hope there are a few things that spark an inspiration with you today!  Play along, won't you?

CAS Stencil Challenge - April

I am so happy to be playing along with
CAS Stencil's April Challenge!  My sweet friend Barb is Hostess this month, and she has chosen a really fun technique, and given us plenty of inspiring videos to watch - thanks Barb!!

I've borrowed leaves from Laura, and
the neutral of kraft from Yana!
I even added my very own twist!  Check it out...

After laying down a base of dimensional paste through The Leaf Effect stencil from W&W, and while still wet, I gave it a press with an MFT Diagonal Stripe background stamp!  I love the way it turned out … I hope Barb does, too!

Those scripty words are from Stamplorations, and the 'labels' are stamped with EBE Random Sayings Vol. II.

Here's a question for all of you... am I the only one that saves every blooming thing?  Those little squiggles are a 'left over' from another die cut - and I love the way they worked here!

I'm all caught up with blog posts, and laundry!  So I'll take advantage of these few spare hours in my day... thanks for spending a bit of YOUR time with me!

Time Out #132

I've been on a little 1800 mile drive with my sweetie … but this image from Time Out #132 haunted me [in a good way] so much that
I jumped right in while the machine was waiting for the next load!

I so wanted to include that gorgeous velvet couch … thanks to a dear friend who shares her goodies with me, I was able to make a velvet butterfly instead!

Many years and two homes ago, Tom and I did a gorgeous wainscoting treatment in our dining room - these panels in the photo reminded me of that!  Much easier to do with a score board than a saw ... never mind all the sanding and painting! Think Tom would mind that I've been thinking about it for my craft studio?

Wish you were here to feel it! the faint coloring and details were added onto  the vellum I glued the velvet butterfly to.

Hope your Monday is loads of fun!
