12 Kits of Occasions: Hello, friend!

Sharron Gregory, of On Papillon Wings, is our Hostess this month at The 12 Kits of Occasions blog!  Oh, didn't you get the memo?  It's the end of the month - YIKES!

"Hello, friend!" is Sharron's theme and, let me tell you, this girl? really does know how to 'do' friendship!

Here is a little bit of the love Sharron sent us:

SO much goodness!

Sharron and I have a mutual love of flowers, flutter-bys, and apparently papers!  I had just purchased this set of lovely papers from PTI!

Here is where my heart took me:

I've prepped my panel with an MFT die, and the sentiment with a PPP tag die
The counterpart to this darling cat has already been sent to another sweet bloggy friend!  Wish I'd snapped a photo first!

Inside:
"Goodness knows, you are always there to pull me out of a puddle!"
Seems those darlings were a team 12 Kits favorite this month!

MFT Wonky frames dies

If one cactus is good, another makes it great!!

Last but not least, for our teamie Lisa, who is missing her beautiful boy this week!  I know he's not exactly colored perfectly, but I know she'll think he's pretty cute =]

That's it for me this month ... OH just thought you'd get a chuckle out of my photography set up:

My mother's chair, where I sit daily - well not quite like this ... xx

Thank you, Sharron, for such a fun kit... and thanks to you for stopping by!  Now run over to the 12 Kits blog, if you haven't been yet!!!  There's magic happening there... xx

The Heart Desires - Challenge #11

Coming in on the tail end of this fabulous challenge at The Heart Desires ... I did a bit of hopping with the PNW gals this morning - honoring the delightful, wonderful Kimberly Wiener's birthday... this one's for you, my sweet friend!

Just look at this darling, Spring-themed inspiration board:

There are lots of  Technique Tuesday cuties in The Heart Desires shop ... this one I've used happens to be of the 'oldie but goodie' category!

Very simple water-colored with Distress inks

Happiest birthday, Kimberly!!!  Wishing I was there to celebrate with you!  xxoo

CAS[E] this Sketch #219

Hi all!  CAS[E] this Sketch #219 was designed by our sweet Jen Mitchell ... and let the fun begin:

My first thought was to CASE Carol's card last week!  But I had another little idea. I had promised you an artichoke, if memory serves... and THAT is questionable these days!

One never knows what my fab teamies will see in our sketch ... always fun to find out!  Won't you join me as I check them out here at the CTS blog?

AprilPinsights

You will have no trouble finding the photo I've chosen this month ... thank you, Laurel Beard, for giving me just one more color combo for Julie's Mondo Hydrangea!  Wish you were here to see the extra detail I managed with a jelly-roll pen!

Distress inks:  Antique linen, Milled lavender, Tattered Rose, and Victorian Velvet.
Sentiment heat embossed with Ranger Liquid PlatinumMFT Scalloped edge die.

This one reminds me of those dried Hydrangea I love so much... yes, those hanging in the background!   Hope you love it, too!

Thanks for hanging with me on a Saturday!

Fusion: Truck Bouquet!

Yes.  You have read that correctly:  Fusion - Truck Bouquet ... and that truck?  It's grey!  guess who had to play?  Me.

I did a little digging through my Technique Tuesday Garden Society stamps thinking I had the perfect swag - this one:  Beautiful Bouquet ... though it does look more like a wedding bouquet I made it work for the photo!

My MFT Wonky Windows die worked for the truck window, right?  If you stand on your head while viewing?  It's perfect!!!  Hope the Fusion team is limbered up!!!

Bobby is coming tomorrow!!!!  YAY!!!  Must go make the place presentable - at the least the craft room, which has been pleasantly used this week!

My Distress Oxide inks finally arrived ... LOVE this blue - and you probably know I'm not a blue fan, right?  what's happening to me?!

You'll have to visit the CTS blog to find out which one made the cut ... and I can't wait to see my team-mate's cards!

A two-fer day?! but, of course! Inspired by all the Little Things #52

Okay.  I promise this is the last time I intrude on your time ... today  ;]

Inspired by all the Little Things #52 is just to fabulous to resist:

... stamping this little Hero Arts darling was, too!

My pink may be just a bit darker than I'm seeing in the photo... but it had to be a raspberry beret!!!

Merci!  for stopping by!

Thank you to Barb Ghig for that perfect little hanger!

Thanks, Renee!!!

Time Out Challenge #81

My friend Anita made the most beautiful card for the current Time Out Challenge ... I just had to follow her gorgeous lead!

Here is the inspiration photo:

A very old, much loved, Martha Stewart punch did all the hard work for me ... and I had just the Copic markers to make my own colored paper, too!

For Time Out #81 - a few flutter-bys who thought it was about time I played along - literally!!

Wplus9 Doodle Buds sentiment, PTI cardstock, and that little clock again!
Copics:  R24, R37, R39 & RV25

Those lovely wings would be crushed in the mail ... I'll have to deliver these by hand - the best way ever!

Thank you to the Time Out DT!!
It is such an honor!

Color Throwdown #438

It has been ages since I've played cards in a challenge ... this week's Color Throwdown photo grabbed me this afternoon, and wouldn't let go!!

I immediately saw dry embossing, with ink, and the darling Altenew Bamboo Roses have not had any attention yet - time to remedy that!  My good old PTI clock die, and hands came in handy again!

For CTD438:

This little card will go to my neighbor who, in spite of feeling poorly, was kind enough to fetch our mail while we were gone... hope it does the trick!

CAS[E] this Sketch #217

Chrissy Larson has proven that the Sketch is a starting point to creating something only your mind, and your own imagination sees there ... take a peek:

Guess what my mind saw?  Carrots!  You don't see them?  Them me harvest a few for you...

Rusty Hinge, Aged Mahogany, Peeled Paint, and Versafine inks on watercolor paper

I'm using the carrot image, and one the awesome sentiment stamps, from Altenew's Farmers Market set ... and I cannot wait to get that artichoke inked up!!!  These guys have been patiently waiting to play cards for weeks!

I'm dying to hop over to the CTS blog to see where the minds of my teamies wandered this week - you'll join us, right?

CAS[E] this Sketch #216

We lost my wonderful father-in-law last weekend... such a sad time for everyone, but Tom and I are thankful for every moment we had with him, and the peaceful end to a blessed life.

N@ Ali has given me the perfect Sketch for expressing how grateful I am...

For CTS #216:

... for every second of each day we had to tell you how much you are loved.

May I just take an extra moment to thank all of you who were kind enough to say a prayer, send a thought, or a card ... you are truly the most wonderful friends we could ask for...

xx  Michele and Tom.
