Color Hues #81 and second helpings for FMS623

Stef is our host at Color Hues #81 and I had such fun playing along that I could not wait until Monday to share.

I received this darling Botani-cuts Crocus set from The Greetery for Christmas and knew in a heartbeat it was just the perfect set for a Lilac and Mint challenge!
The shaped card base was an afterthought - but that dry-embossed oval was
found in my snippets just waiting for this card!

Now.  On the way to that card, there was another attempt - but the greens just were NOT mint-y enough for my liking.  That's okay as it turns out they are just wonderful for second helpings for Freshly Made Sketches #623!

Another oval from my snippets, a bouquet of purple Forget-me-Nots gone rogue from The Greetery, a little lacey edger from PF and all placed on a linen card base.

Both cards feature a sweet little Betterpress-ed sentiment - I always
keep a stash on hand!

Alright I PROMISE I won't be back [typed using my best Arnold Schwarzenegger voice] ... until next week!

I gasped when I saw your card, Michele. It is absolutely gorgeous and what a treat to find card number two as I was scrolling through. It is just as beautiful. I love that lacey edge and those pretty purple Forget-me-Nots. The embossed oval on card one and your fun-shaped scallop take this card to a new level. Always a pleasure to see where our colors will take you! Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Two very stunning cards Michele! The first card is truly breath taking, with both the colors you used and the embossed background. Oh my word, a work of art! The second card is equally as lovely with the delicate lace on an angle like that and those sweet little forge-me-nots. You do flowers like no one else I know!

I can see why you couldn't wait to share your Crocus card--it's absolutely gorgeous! The oval piece reminds me of a cameo and looks perfect on the scalloped base! And THAT's what forget me nots should look like? Then mine are definitely some other species!
