I'd rather be blue...

... thinking of you, I'd rather be blue over you... than be happy ... with somebody else!  Such a great song lyric and the lead-in to my playtime today!

That sweet Marcia left behind her Pinkfresh class kit for me to have a crack at it.  I was delighted to press a few of their plates!

This Honeysuckle - oh, I know they aren't blue - but give a girl [who doesn't like blue on an ordinary day] the chance to play with that new Cerulean Blue from The Stamp Market, okay!

The honeysuckles were pressed using Betterpress black ink and water colored then cut with the coordinating die.  I added a Pinkfresh pressed Framed Floral Arch - created the same way and cut with the PF coordinating Framed Floral Arch die.  You'll see that I couldn't help but add that texture with my SU Subtle Texture EF to the leftover inner portion.

Here's another - a bit more CAS ...

My last card uses the Cerulean blue cardstock, a press plate [called Splendid Florals] and that pretty posie from my last playtime planted upon a PTI frame.

Thanks, Marcia, for sharing your goodies! I had a great day - hope you did, too!

You're welcome!! I love all 3 cards and especially the upside down Honeysuckle card in blue!! Never would have thought of putting it upside down, but I really, really like it that way and with the letterpress arch too! A trio of loveliness and so glad you had fun playing with the kit! And who would have thought over a year ago that either one of us would get hooked on BLUE?! Haha!! Hugs. :0)

What a beautiful blue you found. It's such a happy color. And adds to the happiness your card brings to the viewer. Lovely watercoloring on the first two floral cards and great embossing on the 3rd. Yay for generous friends who let you play with their goodies, too. A definite recipe for fun!

Oh that honeysuckle is so gorgeous, and the arch treatment is perfect. That shade of blue is definitely enough to make a blue hater love blue. What a great shade! All three cards are wonderful. You two crafty rockers are so lucky to be close enough to play and share supplies. I love to hear/see your play date deets! How nice that you got to keep these supplies for a bit. You have worked wonders with them.

I am loving your blue cards. Perhaps we should use it more often. I don't think I use it much either. I must remember to try my press plates as a textured background. Your looks great xx

All sooo very dreamy and that cornflower blue is PRETTY! I've been 'pressing' myself today, and it's not the clothes lol.

Blue is my favorite color and I love all your beautiful blue cards. I too like how you used the honeysuckle upside down with that lovely colored arch die cut.

All so pretty and you've enabled me to pick up SM's Cerulean inks and now they found a home in my inkpad collection. Isn't it the perfect shade of bleu?

In my opinion, you can make flowers any color your heart desires. These blue honeysuckle are very sweet. I kind of like them better than what nature chose. And, that last card- mwah! I adore that posie! It looks so regal on that beautiful background.

I'm blue too, Michele, since a lot of your comments and a couple of 'follow it' went into my spam box. If I hadn't been checking for something else I wouldn't have even caught them.
So glad Marcia left the kit for you to play with. The cards are all beautifully created.
