Penny Black Saturday Challenge Guest Designer!

Hello, my friends! I'm so happy to be invited back to 'play cards' with the Penny Black on Saturday Challenge team!  As always, they have an 'anything goes' theme but for March they've added the option of 'on the farm' for your stamping pleasure!

At the time of this writing, Spring was nowhere to be found - but remember, I now have those lovely Penny Black Tulips in Bloom to remedy that!

You'll undoubtedly see more of those white ones very soon as
I carried a bouquet of them down the aisle 30 years ago in May!

This trio was stamped using Gina K Skeleton Leaves ink on Canson watercolor paper then painted using Distress reinkers.  I mounted them on the largest of the
PB Classy frames - the PB Linked embossing folder added interest
to the negative portion of the die - then the sentiment was stamped
onto the negative portion of the smallest of the frames.

The sentiment is from another favorite set from Waffle Flower.

Did you know that tulip farms can be found right here in Holland, Michigan?  You can read all about it, and the wonderful Tulip Time Festival that occurs in May each year, right HERE.  But read it quickly then play along, won't you?

All the glorious inspiration from the PBSC team is waiting for your viewing pleasure - we will all be back with a reminder on March 15th.  See you then!

I'm sharing this card with the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge
where 'anything goes' but they are featuring Penny Black this time!

Oh this is such a work of art, Michele. The tulips are absolutely gorgeous in their own right, but every detail of this card is so wonderful, well placed and perfect. That large frame is so fabulous, but the embossing on the negative bumps it up a notch and the sentiment on the plain piece works so beautifully. I LOVE it!

Your card is gorgeous, and I love the white tulip!! I can just imagine how pretty your bouquet was 30 years ago. I like how you used all the nested frames including the negative spaces. Genius! Congrats on your guest design spot. You should be on the team full time. ;0)

I needed this pretty dose of spring after waking up to snow this morning! Your tulips are marvelous but it's that wonderful touch of embossing that draws me in. Congrats on guesting, Michele! xo
