Since I had a dental cleaning this morning, I decided I didn't want to waste the rest of the day doing laundry - it will be there tomorrow, I'm sure of it!
Darnell's IDEAS caught my eye, and I even had a new stencil in my mailbox this morning to play along with her and LeAnne's tic tac toe board at The Paper Players, too!
Has everyone been bitten by the floral bug at Penny Black? I HAD to have the tulips and their newest 3D Tulips were irresistible, too! Here are a few peachy-pinks for Darnell:
and a few lavender ones for LeAnne using the left row from top
to bottom: flowers, die cut, lavender:
Both cards were finished with a new PB die and a pretty sentiment
that I stamped at Marcia's from The Greetery.
It really bothers me when the cover color and the ink inside don't come close to
matching up - in this case, it worked to my advantage! Good thing I swatch
a strip of inked label paper on each of my inks.
In this photo you can see how the tulips look after stenciling. I then used
the 3D embossing folder for the peachy pinks, and the die before embossing on
these in lavender. That embossing really brings those tulips to life!
This day really flew by - without having that laundry to do I accomplished TONS of crafting this afternoon - more soon! I have been making Christmas cards!

Before I forget, M, I love how you used these unique frames to draw the eye in to your stunning tulips! And showing the inked tulips before you embossed them really depicts the impact of 3D!!😮I love the texture of the backgrounds, too, and the font of the feminine sediments. (Dang, you and Marcia are hard on my wallet!) Thank you for using this week's I.D.E.A.S. Calendar and linking your art to motivate others! Hugs, D
Beautiful! Thanks for sharing the beauty you created!
Both the peachy pink and the purple tulips are GORGEOUS Michele and I love the dimension the embossing gives them! The PB frame that highlights the flowers looks fabulous with them too, and those fiddly Greetery sentiments are the perfect finishing touch! Two lovely, lovely cards my friend!! Hugs. :0)
Gorgeous Michele! You didn't mention that fun wavy frame... So I am having my teeth cleaned this morning...hope I come home as inspired as you were yesterday!
You have the best collection of tulips, Michele! They are gorgeous in peach and lavender! I have an idea they're gorgeous in any color!
Crafting is always better than laundry! Two beautiful cards today, Michele! I love both colors and couldn't begin to pick a favorite, except I'm drawn to warm colors such as the peach, but also love the purple with embossed background. The frames really set them off. You know I've been bitten by the PB bug and I fell hard for this type of 3D embossing. I thought I would try and use last spring's release before I bought this year's, but I don't know if I'll be able to wait.
These are both AH-MAZING!!! Those tulips are just gorgeous and the frame and embossing kick them up a hundred notches! Thanks for playing with my Tic-Tac-Toe challenge this week at the Players! I'm thrilled at how pretty these are!
These are both stunning Michele! Those tulips makes we wish for spring to officially arrive here! You were by my blog this morning and no card? I had no power or Internet after the ice storm until this morning. We are back on after 3 days and I have rectified my post.
It's a home run when you can stencil an embossed image and your tulips are stunning, Michele. The dimension is fabulous and while I have a number of tulips I may have to look into that folder.
Both cards are beautiful with those tulips. The frame really makes them stand out. I love the dimension of the embossing on the lavender one. You have inspired me with so many of your beautiful PB cards that I have had to try a few of them myself.
Glad you had a good dental appointment.
My word! Those tulips dies are fantastic and you make them look even better than that. Love the way you've showed them off in different colours. You've used the pie crust frame beautifully. Thanks for joining in with us at The Paper Players.
Tulips and you go hand in hand no matter what company they come from! But I do like what you've done with Miss Penny's posies. Thanks for showing the pre-embossed photo... wow what a difference!
I LOVE my dental hygienist... is that weird? It's these unsung heros, that save our teeth lol!
And yes, I can see that you have some new tulips in your collection, have you got any real tulips coming through yet, or is it too early? In the meantime, these ones are perfect!
And I am with you on the ink cover thingy... it's up there with caps for the markers too!
Oooh, both colors are just gorgeous and yes, you can never have enough tulips AND the laundry can wait until tomorrow ;)
Wow - usually I just drink after a dental cleaning (and before too if I could get by with it!) I passionately hate them! I guess I could try making cards but I don't think they'd be nearly as lovely as what you created!
WOW, These are gorgeous cards Michele. so glad I stopped by.
Your tulips are gorgeous and oh so sweetly framed!
