Freshly Made Sketches #635 P.O.E. #63

My friends, our Spring was a little hokey pokey arriving - but it's turned itself around!  Yesterday, I spent a fair amount of time coloring but then I just had to go outside... so many friends stopped by...

They are hard to count but you'll trust me - there are ELEVEN with their Mallard mama!!
Here's one that sat still for his closeup:

Along with a thousand bees, there were several Red Admiral butterflies - this one posed!

As many of my cousins' sets that were gifted, there were a few that just wanted to stay here with me.  This one from Crafters Companion called Hello You.  For Freshly Made Sketches #635:

I feel quite bad about his tail getting clipped - you should have heard that
balloon when the same happened to it!

I also managed to make 5 more Christmas cards for my Seniors!  Here's one in pink for Peace on Earth Christmas #63...

This is a Gemini stamp called Festive Poinsettias - also from my cousin.
Waffle Flower Craft Snowflake cover plate added a little texture to my kraft card.

Now. Before I leave you, I have to share one more sign of Spring - from our walk in the State Park near our home.  We've discovered a family of Barred Owls!  We've been greeted to the park by Dad, watched Mom fly from tree to tree and even spotted her with her little one several times now.  See if you can find the baby of the family ...

Maybe now...

Hope you have a lovely Spring-y day today!

Really cute card Michele, the dragon is so much fun. However the wildlife has distracted me as I try to find the baby owl! The ducks that met on my property moved in to start their family, but I keep watch for them each day. Good for you making so many Christmas cards for seniors. You are doing great!

Awh! What an adorable dragon, Michele! I'm sure he doesn't mind losing a tiny bit of his tail and I'm glad the balloon didn't totally deflate! Your pink poinsettias are so pretty and I'm sure will brighten a seniors holiday. That's a huge brood of ducklings. Do you suppose Mama is babysitting? And how special to get a picture of junior. We have owls in our neighborhood but they are almost impossible to spot.

Oh my goodness, nature overload! Good for you, inking up those cousin's treasures! That Christmas card is just beautiful, I love the non-traditional colors! But those little goslings and the barred owl....nature always wins in the "totally awesome" department! TFS!

Sounds like you had a banner day yesterday Michele! Between all the coloring and your new outdoor friends enjoying the beautiful day, you were busy, busy, busy! Your little dragon just couldn't be any cuter and colored so perfectly too, and of course your Poinsettia card is colored absolutely beautifully also! Wonderful post my friend and awesome photos!! Hugs. :0)

That's a big dragon to try and fit on your card, but not scary at all. He's simply adorable! Of course you had to keep those pink Poinsettias. They make a beautiful statement against the snowflakey kraft. Good progress getting five more cards done for the seniors! You know I love the critters. Babies of any kind are precious!

Aren't they so cute? Thanks for sharing your wildlife pictures. Your dragon card is really cute too. Shame about the clipping of the tail and balloon, but never mind. it probably won't even be noticed by the recipient. Good progress on those Christmas cards too xx

LOVE that cute dragon, with it's dotty background! But I have to say that is the cutest baby owl ever!

Okay, okay, I love the cards, especially that cutie patootie dragon, but it's all of the wildlife that has me scrolling back and forth! Wish I could whisk my fella up there to photograph the owls!

Your bird pics are just wonderful--they almost outshined your cards! Almost. ;)

You had me at owls, Michele. I can never resist them.
You made good use of your cousin's gifts. That dragon is adorable and I love the colored splatters behind him. That is a lovely poinsettia stamp, beautifully colored. I can't believe you got five done and still had time to greet the ducks. We have some too but only 4.

What a lovely post! Not only do we get the privilege to see your beautiful cards, but also the wonderful animal life near you. Thank you so much for sharing all of it. Happy Spring!!

Your dragon card is too cute to be scary, especially when toting a bright yellow balloon. It turned out so cute and makes me eager to ink up some of the cute, cute stamps you sent. Thanks again, so much! Your poinsettia card is stunning as well and will certainly bring happy smiles to someone this Christmas season. I must say your photo's of recent visitors steals the show! Oh what fun to have a family of ducklings in your yard, and that baby Barred Owl looks so soft and cuddly. You have good eyes for spotting it!

Your post was a breath of fresh air today starting with that cutie dragon and oh my - those adorable ducks. Glad you are finally getting some spring happiness. It's been spring here for quite a while complete with the yellow sticky mess of pollen. I will take it over winter anytime though.

love that dragon, I bet there was howling when his tail got snipped. Thanks for the nature show.

Lots of cuteness in this post among the dragon with a balloon, ducks, butterflies and owls... Still looking for the baby. Your poinsettia card is lovely. Pink on kraft is a favorite and I love the bit of darker inking on the kraft to add a vintage look.
