Hello my crafty friends! Have you ever paid one bit of attention to the 'stats' section of your blog? I had a reason to do just that a few months ago and noticed how close I was to hitting my 2500th post! Now THAT is a LOT of cards considering how often there are more than one card shared in one post!
Today, I am just as happy making and sharing my cards as I was the very first day of blogging! Thanks to all of you for continuing to encourage me to keep going when it looks to me that having a blog seems to be taking a back seat to sharing through social media.
Here's to post 2501 - for Freshly Made Sketches #610 - they continue to inspire me each week whether I play along or not! Jen Timko has a fun Sketch for us this week!
Of course, that top skater - the one lagging behind - is me! I found I needed to adjust the sketch just a bit to fit all three of my skaters [by the way they are on sale during the Moving Sale at Waffle Flower Crafts]- I hope Jen will let that 'skate by!'
I have another for you, well actually for Four Seasons for their final Fall challenge of 2023. I loved using this Waffle Flower set again...
A perfect sentiment from PTI was stamped on the inside...
By now you're all scratching your heads wondering why I didn't color my squirrel red aren't you. Me TOO!! Perhaps I was dazzled by the grey decor in that photo next door? Oh well, maybe that will cause a 'second helping?'

You may be lagging behind a bit in the 1st card Michele, but you're still on the front of the card...I'd be on the back in a pile on the floor! Haha! Cute, CUTE card though...love it!! Your little squirrel popping out of the acorn is just ADORABLE and I love your background too! We lost most of our leaves last week, so now they're in piles on the ground waiting for Chris to rake them up and the trees are pretty much bare! As far as posts, you sure have done a lot...very impressive! I checked mine and I've done 1,912 since I started blogging in 2008, so I guess I haven't done too badly since I started! Hugs. :0)

Wow, that's a big number. I have just checked mine and it is a measly 458! Your cards are just as great as always. I expect your squirrel is grey because most these days are and because it is one of your favourite colours. Thanks for all the inspiration. I hope it continues for another 2500 posts. I much prefer the blog to other social media, it is a calmer and slower pace, which suites me. I can't cope with the speed of everything elsewhere. Blink and you miss it xx
A HUGE Congrats my friend! Knowing that I have 2501 posts to inspire me on my crafty journey makes my heart happy, keep them coming!! And YES to the 'grey' squirrel, it's the perfect choice (looks like the ones I would see in the tree outside my window when I lived in the UK).
Too funny I just looked at my stats yesterday of all things. I never noticed the posts I’m at 5000! Get out! Great couple of cards today very autotomy 😊
ACK!!! Both of these are cuteness overload! I definitely predict a winner for those little skaters....I would be back at the edge of the pond drinking hot chocolate, no skating for me! BUT...the leafy paper on your squirrel card...I am lusting that paper, no lie! Of course the squirrel is cute no matter what color he is. I pay no attention to my stats so imagine my surprise that I am at 5347!!! Yikes!
These skaters work so perfectly for this sketch, Michele! I'd be the one on the ground! Our squirrels are gray so he looks perfect to me! I love his little house!
I never thought to look at my stats until you mentioned it, Michele. I have 3247 posts beginning in May of 2011. I cringe when I go back and look at some of those cards.
Even though those skaters are not really my style, I got sucked in by your darling card and a sale and bought them. Can't wait until they get here and I can color them up.
Congrats! No way I can match the number of cards you've created. I've been blogging since June 2005 and have written 2,677 posts. (Thanks for a reason to look it up!) I didn't start sharing cards on a regular basis for a couple of years, and I've never been as consistent in posting as you are.
Those little skaters are too cute and perfect for this sketch! Your gray squirrel looks good to me surrounded by all of those warm autumn colors. 2500, that's a big number, congrats... I've loved every one I've seen! I'm at 1926!
Congratulations, Michele! What a great milestone! Here's to many more posts from you! I will always check out your creations. I looked and even though I rarely post anymore, I am at 1159 posts. That's a bigger number than I thought it would be. LOL Your skater's are so cute and you are smart to hang back a bit and let the other skaters do their thing. I'd say that you're in the lead on both of these cards today. They're both just as cute as can be! I've never clicked on the stats button before. In fact, I've never really noticed it until you mentioned it. Congrats on 2500 posts! I'm at 1597 since 2012. I agree that it looks like blogging is taking a back seat to other social media platforms. I'm old school and hope to continue crafting and blogging for as long as I'm inspired.
Both cards are FABULOUS, but that cute little gray squirrel in the acorn has stolen my heart, we had gray squirrels when we had the lake house, down here we just have the normal reddish ones and even black squirrels! I have 3744 posts and much prefer blogging my cards then social media!! Have a great week!!

I am loving these adorable cards! I spent hours ice skating as a kid....great memories! And speaking of memories you made me go aaaaallll the way back to August 2009 and add up my posts....1337! Your numbers are in the stratosphere - and you are keeping the post office n business!
WOw that is a lot of posts, and thankfully I have enjoyed most of them. I'm at 1891 I think. I have one calendar post pending and am not sure if that is included. I tried doing social media and its just not my thing...I prefer my blog.

I'm on my third stamping blog so have lost track of the total number of posts. I was much more prolific in the past, but I enjoy it now just as much as ever.

Wow..2500 posts:-) Now you should out of curiosity go back and count how many cards...never mind...you have Christmas cards you need to add to your stash:-) I have had my blog since 2016 and only have 587 posts..maybe I should count how many cards I have posted..nope, too many other things to do:-) Still..you are a very prolific and creative card designer my friend. Love those adorable little skaters. Perfect design for the sketch. And that sweet little critter in the acorn... I like his gray coat better than if it was red. Stands out more.
