My friend Cindy Beach is the host with the most beautiful color combination for us at Color Hues #62: Purple and Green! Okay, I know, and you know the first thought is to reach for florals as did the entire CH team - and they are absolutely gorgeous! But I had a different idea - are you surprised? lol.
You'd have to see that I've taken artistic license with the star of my card - and Cindy probably won't see a Crane in this color - but she did give an order to have fun...
I've taken my cloud color cues from my husband's photos of our lighting last night!
These are the inks I've used with an old MFT cloud stencil:
This gorgeous Altenew Red-Crowned Crane is going to collect frequent flier miles
at my place - isn't he just fabulous??
A few Spellbinders dies [GLP-366 and S5-527] came into play with a duo of greens to create my marshy area. A third green: CP Melon Ice, was used to stamp this
Hope you have had a great weekend and there was a little bit of crafting involved!

stunning!
Fabulous inspired card from those stunning photos 😀
Gorgeous card Michele, and those lightning photos, WOW!
Your crane is beautiful with purple feathers, Michele. Love the skies, both Tom's photos and your inking.
WOW! This crane is amazing, Michele, and I love it done in purples! He looks very taken with the pretty colors of the marsh! Can't wait to see him again! That was some awesome lightening and an amazing catch with the camera!
Well, for the record Cindy would love seeing a crane in the gorgeous colors you chose! The sky background is gorgeous and the greens complete the scene beautifully. I'm so glad that you did have fun, Michele, thanks for playing along at Color Hues!
Jim hasn't seen this crane yet!!! Awesome inspiration photos too! Your card prompted an afternoon of fun in rainy Oregon.
Your card and Tom's amazing photos make this a FABULOUS post Michele! I just love how the photos inspired your purple clouds, and that beautiful crane in the purples too! Your marshy greens and sentiment added to make this card just STUNNING!! LOVE it!! Hugs. :0)
Wow, I love your inspiration; that Tom is a keeper! Beautiful way to use those colors!
Michele, I adore this card and think it is so cool how you were inspired by Tom's photos. Looks like a Florida thunderstorm. Your crane is awesome but I also have a fondness for pussy willows as they remind me of my childhood years. Thanks for playing along with Cindy's colors at Color Hues. Have a great week!
I don't know where to begin... your PRETTY card or Tom's COOL photos! Doesn't matter because it all looks amazing!
Your Tom is just as talented as you are in his area of interest!! What spectacular shots of the lightning. And what a show you got! Your card is fantastic, too. I love how you are always unique in your cardmaking. It's a quality I truly admire in your cardmaking. Thank you for sharing this beauty!
OMGoodness, that crane is amazing and I'm all for artistic license! Love the clouds, the marsh, all of it. Also, the photos -- holy cow! We don't get lightning like that here so it's a treat to see it when on a road trip. Love that purple sky!
Unexpected but FUN! Love your gorgeously colored crane and his marshy marsh -- I also LOVE your lightning! I know, I'm weird...
It's my dream to see a purple crane now that I've seen your beauty! And Tom's lightning pics are ah-mazing!
I have never scene a thunderstorm in amongst purple skies and clouds! Wow, so utterly gorgeous as is your beautiful card my friend. Thank you so much for sharing with us at the Color Hues!
What a wonderful and fresh idea to use those purple colors for the crane, Michele! And the clouds inspired by the gorgeous pictures Tom took are just perfect for the crane's background. Both you and Tom have an artistic eye!

Fabulous photo - gorgeous colors - love the crane and Cindy will too - I also love Cindy - she and I took a class together many moons ago and we may have spent more time chatting than creating......
A purple crane? Gorgeous! This is such a clever take on the colour challenge.
I can't even express how much I love this... and the inspiration from those wonderful storm photos... Oh my. Just fabulous.
