Color Hues #61 Second Helpings - and a boo boo!

I know I've already played with Stef's gorgeous colors at Color Hues #61, but I had a moment while waking up this morning when this design just popped into my mind - it doesn't happen often enough!  I'm going to share this closeup first as my gold-on-kraft sentiment was being a little hard to photograph today!

Seeing it here I'm doubtful that the closeup helps much - thankfully the recipient won't have this problem!

Starting from background to foreground:
The Stamp Market Leaves Cover die from MFT heavyweight Kraft cardstock.
Altenew: Climber Flowers die set using MFT Prestige Peach Bellini and Coral Crush, and kraft -
the climbing leaves have been given a touch of leftover Vintage photo distress ink from a sponge dauber.
Sentiment: The Stamp Market: Bell Flower set gold heat embossed
on same kraft cardstock cut with PF Essentials Labels
Three HoneyBee pearls and voila!

Now, I have to make fun of myself a little... here is the FIRST attempt at Stef's challenge colors - I should know by now that GREEN is not on the always-welcome color list, shouldn't I?!

Thanks for stopping by!

Green or no green...they're both beautiful! Love the cover plate on the kraft one....well, I love both of them, really!

Another fantastic card using these colors! You have embraced the kraft on this card! Your first card is a great use of that pretty lily flower even if it has green leaves! I think your redo with the kraft leaves is still my all time favorite of your cards. But this one could be a winner too.

So I pop by to comment on the first entry Michele - and I see this fabulous take two too! I love it - so much dimension and texture. I also like the green on the second card - just saying ;-)

Oh please...lol greens should be neutrals when ever botanical are used. Lovely cards.

That leaves coverplate is a great one, Michele. It would add great dimension on any flower card like it does with your Climbers. Speaking of, that diamond coverplate is no slouch either. I love it with the gingham behind to show off the lovely lilies.

Just love that kraft card, it looks amazing despite the photo not showing it at its best. I love green, can't get enough of it xx

Wow! Gorgoeus my friend, would you believe I just did some 'faux embossing' with leaves this week too... we are truly 'one'!

You are an enabler, Michele, oh and I should add, an uber-talented person lol! Not one but two gorgeous cards in these colors! Seeing the leaves cover die just made me swoon and then the layering of the beautiful die cut flowers? Love! Thanks for sharing your talents in our gallery!

Oops, actually you made three gorgeous cards! I do so love the lilies against the white trellis cover die, and the green looks wonderful in the background...and on the leaves! So sorry it didn't work for this challenge, but I know someone will love finding that beauty in their mailbox!

I feel like I say it about each card, but this 2nd helpings card might just be my all time favorite card you've ever done Michele...it truly is MAGICAL!! I just LOVE the kraft on kraft with the coverplate die, and your lily is sooooo pretty in the peachy colors! This one is frameable my friend!! And your card with the green leaves and background is no slouch either!! I don't think you could make an ugly card if you tried! GORGEOUS cards Michele!! Hugs. :0)

Your leafy coverplate was the perfect companion to the Climber flowers! And I'm loving the stitched diamond cover plate on your boo boo card! Green or no green , it's still wonderful! Two beauties, Michele!

Kraft, green... is there a difference? Well ok I know there is but both are equally gorgeous, Michele! I love the subtleness of the kraft card, but the crisp beauty with the green is also wonderful

Your 'neutral' card is gorgeous! So stunning and elegant. I'm in awe that this just pops into your head. And your card with green is fabulous too. I don't consider it a boo boo at all! You have tremendous talent my friend! Happy weekend.

These are two gorgeous cards! I too adore the kraft on kraft, so much texture and details to look at! Your cards are always inspiring, thanks for playing at Color Hues, Michele!

I once tried to say that green is a neutral. I mean, in a garden it's surely a neutral, isn't it? I love your second card with or without the green. The card you woke up with in your head -- wow! It's amazing how gorgeous a limited color palette can be. You sure know how to work it!

I must add this card to my "CASE" list, Michele! Love the color combo, the layers & dimension, and the tone-on-tone texture (faux embossing effect)! The linen thread is a wonderful organic touch too.

This just made me giggle as it is something I have done and sometimes it takes a lot of time for it to dawn on you. I LOVE the gold on kraft and can imagine how gorgeous it looks in person. Your design and ink choices are perfect, and that bit of twine is a fantastic finish!
