Fusion farewell...

It's so hard to say goodbye to a challenge that has been a favorite - one I cut my teeth on, so to speak!  The Fusion Challenge was started in April 2013, and I started blogging May 2014!  I have so many fond memories - especially when they chose my card as a winner - such an honor to this day!

Thank you to all the many fabulous design team members who have inspired me to play along all these years!  Laurie was my muse today... along with their Sketch and a technique I learned from the incredible Dawn from Wplus9 - painting with a credit/gift card

I did a little free hand water coloring for my snowman - looking back I now wish I had painted the sky black!  Perhaps this will be when a second helping will be appropriate?

I used that gift card's edge to begin the idea of a carrot nose, then took it a bit further with a damp brush.   After drying, the entire panel was embossed before adhering it to my card base!  Stickles for a bit of snow and one little snowflake to finish it off!

Thank you for all the years of inspiration Fusion team and thank YOU for stopping by!

What an honor the Fusion team has given me today! Thank you so very much!

Awww, saying goodbye to another blog challenge is sad. They've had a good long run, for sure. I think your snowman is the cutest thing! The sky looks good to me and your painting is fantastic! Love that single snowflake on its nose. Sweet!

What a great snowman. He's a cutie for sure. I love the texture in hi carrot nose. I also like how you added more texture in the background. The snowflake is a fun addition. So sorry to hear of a challenge blog closing. Maybe another one will start up soon?

Always sad to see a challenge close...but understand those ladies work their tails off preparing and commenting. Lots of work behind the scenes.

Your card is fabulous, love that you embossed it afterwords so much lovely texture.

I really like the blue sky, but as my hubby would say... why not make them both (what does he know lol). You have rocked this challenge my friend, it is sad to see end.

OMGosh, this is so cute Michele! I swear I just love how your brain works when it see's a sketch or inspirational photo! So sad to see another challenge ending. Your little snowman is just adorable, I think you have a "daytime sky" with this one and now need to make a "nighttime sky" one. lol I am also assuming this cutie pie was done on linen paper, I'm loving the texture! So love this one! Now I need to go watch "painting with a credit/gift card. Sounds interesting!!! Hugs, Brenda

Your snowman is darling, Michele! I love his nose. Painting with a credit/gift card worked so well. It's so cute that he's looking at the snowflake on the tip of his nose. Thanks for sharing the link to the Dawn't tutorial video!
