Hello, my friends! A few weeks ago, my friend Bonnie Klass posted three Christmas cards she made with a non-Christmas stamp - here's one of her cards:
I was so taken by this idea and knew just the gal who'd have it! So, when Marcia came to play, I asked her if she would bring this Stampin Up set - a retired one called Painted Harvest - so she and I could give it a go! I found a photo of the set on the interweb to share:
Which leads to today's post which we're calling Inspired by Friends inspired by Bonnie and she is playing, too! Yay!
I stamped two 'wreaths' which sat on my desk for a few days so the ideas could 'brew!' Ready to see them? I can't wait to share!
First up 'the decorators' these guys couldn't wait to add the finishing touches to my 'wreath!' Or are they eating the decorations? hmmm...
And there you have it: my take on using a non-Christmas set for Christmas cards!
I'm told that Marcia, and Bonnie have THREE cards each to share so I'm heading over to see them now! Hope you'll join me!
I love your deer who I think are adding some branches to your wreath. Very clever to add extra leaves over the stamped wreath! You have inspired me, my friend! Love, love, love the pierced background and that fantastic glittery sentiment! Thank you so much for inviting me to play along. It was so much fun! And thanks so much for the shout out!
Well, this certainly was a fun adventure. I just visited Bonnie and Marcia, and wow! I bought this set on ebay about a month ago and still have not inked it up, but I am super excited to try a wreath or two. Such a fun game here. Thanks for sharing.
How fun. I remember Bonnie's wreaths and I am loving your takes. Off to see the others.
Oh my gosh Michele...I am head over heels in LOVE with your 1st card!! I just love the addition of the deer to the wreath and I'm going to believe they are helping you decorate it! It's Christmastime and we can believe in miracles, right??!! RIGHT??!!!!! Seriously, this card is totally AWESOME! Your 2nd card is just BEAUTIFUL, and I love your Holly Jolly over the wreath! You always know just the right thing to add to a card to make it perfect! Two absolutely GORGEOUS cards my friend, and always a blessing to play cards with you! Loved adding Bonnie to the mix this time too! Now off to see what she created!! Hugs. :0)
I am enjoying seeing all the different cards made with that stamp set, and they are all so different. Love both yours and especially that dotted background xx
OMG..Two more Gorgeous cards using the SU sunflower set. You, Bonnie and Marcia have created the most beautiful and clever wreath cards for your play day. I Love your Clean and Crisp designs for both your cards. The deer really make your 1st card special and especially Love the vellum shadows on your sentiment on your 2nd card and debossed background for the die cut sentiment. What a fun project for all 3 of you fabulously creative designers:-) TFS my friend and Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family. Love and Hugs..Nancy
I loved Bonnie's cards and was absolutely taken aback by what a beautiful wreath this set can make. Now... I scrolled down and, OMGee, your card with the deer... I'm freaking out I love it so much! Those deer! Your Holly Jolly card is totally gorgeous in a different way. What a fabulous big sentiment and brilliantly creative. I will be sure and visit Bonnie and Marcia today too.
If I know deer they're eating the decorations, Michele. I do love the look of them with that fantastic wreath. Using the wreath behind the O was so creative and I love that the sentiment is sparkly.
Great cards, all these ideas from sunflowers are pretty terrific!
I'm totally blown away Michele! I can't believe y'all used a sunflower stamp to make these wreaths, so cool and now I'm kicking myself for not buying this set! lol I love your cards, they are so unique and so fun. The deer one is my favorite as those deer are fabulous! Sounds like a fun "snow day" with friends! Hugs, Brenda
Oh Michele, do you know how inspiring you are? These are so wonderful! Thank you so very much for sharing your creativity!
Oh your deer are definitely having lunch! Love the woodgrain pattern on them! Beautiful card! And the holly jolly sparkle is fabulous! Off to visit your friends!
How fun! The woodgrain deer are nifty! These are just fabulous, Michele!
You three girls are just SO creative with this sunflower! what beautiful cards you created Michele! Love your deer too!
Brilliant designs my friend, I'm so glad you 'brewed' up these ideas, I can't decided which one I like the best so I'm not going to lol. Though, those deers have a happy place in my heart... and maybe I 'need' them wink!
