Inspired By #184C - Penguin Holiday!

You cannot even imagine how hard it was not to use IB184, instead of this IB184C - our Christmas option - today!!  But these guys are so fun, aren't they?

I was totally inspired to try a background blend of these fabulous reds:

It turned out better than any I've ever done - I think using Oxide inks always makes blending easier, don't you?  Ready to see it?  Here you go...

These little penguin friends are from MFT's Sweet Holiday Penguins.  The snowy hills are ages-old dies from SSS.  After adhering the hills, to the background, I sent it through my Platinum 6 with a Pinkfresh Studios' Stitched Rectangle die... their stitching perfectly matched those on the hills!  A few gold heat-embossed stars, and a bit of snow, and my card is complete!

My only question for you is this: which will you be Inspired By?  This Christmas version? or the ADORABLE IB184??  Join me at the Inspired By #184 post to make your choice, and to see which photo my teammates chose to use!

I can see why it was so hard for you to choose the Christmas option over the regular one with ALL that gray, but your red background is SO STUNNING Michele, and just totally makes your whole card POP!! Those MFT penguins are absolutely ADORABLE, but again, that red background is the show stopper! FABULOUS card my friend!! Hugs. :0)

I'm so proud of you for resisting the gray in the other photo and selecting this version. Because if you hadn't, oh man, we wouldn't have had the pleasure of seeing this fantastic blend of the sky! Whoa Nelly! What a beautiful color blend. Your card is fabulous. Those penquins are adorable, but we know what the real showstopper is. And hey, you can still make a card using the other inspiration, right? Thanks so much for sharing, Michele. Hope you have a wonderful weekend!

This combination of DO colors is just amazing. I can't get over how rich and gorgeous they are together, and perfect for a sky - that is that brain of yours again... The penguins are the sweetest, and how cool is it that your stitches match???!!!!

I love the way those colors blended, Michele. I'll have to remember that combo. I did bring that stamp set with me but I'll have to do some thinking about what to do with it.

OMGosh, this inspiration photo is just the cutest! Penguins are always fun, whether just for winter or for Christmas. Love these oxides colors you chose, your blended background looks amazing!!! Oxides inks blend so much easier than the original DI's. Your little penguins are too dang cute Michele! I love them so much. They look so cute with frolicking in the snow. The one with the candy cane is looking pretty please with himself for having it. lol Super cute!!! Hugs, Brenda

Your blended background is stunning. when I first looked I thought you had used red card and added darker ink, but I see you blended the whole thing. You definitely should be pleased with it. It looks stunning behind the playful penguins in the snow xx
