But rest assured the chatting and crafting [and eating] was abundant!</span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: georgia; font-size: medium;">As is the norm from my generous friend, Marcia brought goodies to share! This darling Penny Black <span style="color: #b4a7d6;">Winged Wreath</span> was all stamped, clear-embossed, and ready to color as we chose ... she even included a card base!</span> </div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhaHxciurYJMy7uhFrSQjqCTY5Z08TVxPq71UoMdzJK4Kxiikqhb7WkEldZRorALUees4A0_kLreKYYpBtmTxY28zTubFAk9PuUA_8KtvJ8H_ILAdYNq_N3oArxvmh2oTpKQ2s47QhoqWK5ktt0WGGCfqo6HD4DTzfXVJ9W3KSzTSp3496Je_nGOSvXIiU/s3213/Marcia's%20PB%20Wreath.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2786" data-original-width="3213" height="442" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhaHxciurYJMy7uhFrSQjqCTY5Z08TVxPq71UoMdzJK4Kxiikqhb7WkEldZRorALUees4A0_kLreKYYpBtmTxY28zTubFAk9PuUA_8KtvJ8H_ILAdYNq_N3oArxvmh2oTpKQ2s47QhoqWK5ktt0WGGCfqo6HD4DTzfXVJ9W3KSzTSp3496Je_nGOSvXIiU/w511-h442/Marcia's%20PB%20Wreath.jpg" width="511" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: georgia; font-size: medium;">I chose to watercolor mine while we chatted using inks - lavender and pale green, and a bit of washy-blue sky. I found this wonderful <span style="color: #b4a7d6;">PTI Just Sentiments: Spring Blessing</span> sentiment that I had stamped at Marcia's a <i>long time ago</i> was the perfect choice for this card. I cut it with an MFT stitched circle die, then layered it up over top of a Spellbinder Hemstitched circle. A mat of embossed <span style="color: #a6af62;">PTI Spring Moss</span> and a little corner chomping, a few scattered PF gems and it was ready for that card base!</span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: georgia; font-size: medium;"><br /></span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: georgia; font-size: medium;">All three of us find stenciling is like meditation - and allows for plenty of chatting in the process! So, when it arrived in my hands on Saturday, I jumped at the chance to use it for the first time with those gorgeous colors at <a href="https://colorhuesthecolorchallenge.blogspot.com/2024/03/color-hues-83-cream-and-blue.html" target="_blank"><span style="color: #47bde5;">Color Hues challenge #83: Cream and Blue</span></a>! The only way I could find to use the cream was to start with a panel of Vintage Cream cardstock from PTI, foil the image in silver, and stencil with two shades of blue. Here's how it turned out:</span></p><p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhhWnlqsBoG4wEzKpodE7zzU-um-eVSrrU6IEzA6jUq_1rhvYCfLdAH-4RnCveUBwhZOLMpuEMJdWNclZaqh_e1486bxAq28b4PVspxD6DYFlUwLbCJyrH7mKqLY5rbA73p0uInCHpA93PfmDTDelQ9Xqe7UW1so9YZY9SHPoXc3bYfxTtPqBwDGMm3yEE/s3456/Color%20Hues%20%2383.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3358" data-original-width="3456" height="554" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhhWnlqsBoG4wEzKpodE7zzU-um-eVSrrU6IEzA6jUq_1rhvYCfLdAH-4RnCveUBwhZOLMpuEMJdWNclZaqh_e1486bxAq28b4PVspxD6DYFlUwLbCJyrH7mKqLY5rbA73p0uInCHpA93PfmDTDelQ9Xqe7UW1so9YZY9SHPoXc3bYfxTtPqBwDGMm3yEE/w570-h554/Color%20Hues%20%2383.jpg" width="570" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: georgia;">Two shades of blue inks: Distress Oxide - stormy sky and CP Stone Blue... just as I thought might happen the Stone Blue has a more 'aqua' tone to it. We love to chat away while stenciling back-to-back with different inks and the VOILA moment when our panels are complete. This time I got to use a set from Altenew that somehow got by me: <a href="https://altenew.com/collections/stencil/products/stencil-art-playful-watercolor-flowers-layering-stencil-set-6-in-1" target="_blank"><span style="color: #6da38d;">Playful Watercolor Flowers</span></a> - so pretty we did TWO!</span></div><div><span style="font-family: georgia; font-size: medium;"><br /></span></div><div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3216" data-original-width="3194" height="541" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhZbkPDcwhJQ0PiB6EqM8VUaEH90ALIG8fw26fze8OqqFWW0jkNefPD9GoaRpi69HeUnnl2zlScNYmFMuTxxQqflvxpMDSRart0x3O_s_DaxcHhROr3dVWbPgCj6QgIxeq2CqCqHTWAUquughODWWTmo6aju-FotBdmntZdmpw9lK2PXFMcw_dWdnt0JlU/w537-h541/Play%20day%20with%20Marcia%20You%20are%20Loved%20purple%20rose%20stencil.jpg" width="537" /></div></div><div><span style="font-family: georgia; font-size: medium;"><br /></span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: georgia; font-size: medium;">This first panel was inked with some of Marcia's wonderful Gina K inks. I spent Valentine's Day with Marcia for some much-needed calorie-free fun [okay there were calories consumed but more on that later]. Our play included a gift from her other bestie that she graciously shared with me. However! It was at the end of our day and my brain was just not functioning ... low sugar? I tossed all of the die-cut pieces in my travel box and figured I wouldn't even figure out the layers. Today, I was able to assemble them thanks to that brilliant 'key and arrow' layering guide from Altenew. </span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: georgia; font-size: medium;"><br /></span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: georgia; font-size: medium;">Thanks to Birgit for the paper, and to Marcia for sharing her new Altenew's <span style="color: #76a5af;">Bellflower Layering</span> set, a card was born!
