CAS[E] this Sketch #243

Donna Mikasa has charmed us once again with her eye for Sketch design!  Take a look at CTS#243:

I think you'll have no problem seeing my take on Donna's Sketch:

I used the Poppy by E.H. United We Flourish collaboration with Altenew.  My "vase" is made by white heat embossing a bit of the set's outline stamp onto a tiny scrap of vellum.  A bit of stenciling took place at the bottom of my card panel, with a simple Copic marker line above.

There is another version of it that I shared on IG last week - sneaky, huh?  I like it, but in the end decided it wasn't as true to the Sketch.  Which do you like best?

Of course we all look forward to YOUR version of our Sketches... let's go see what Donna and the team made, shall we?

Thanks for the visit!

I think both cards are gorgeous, Michele! I'm partial to the first one, though...your CAS elements are just perfect and the poppy is stunning! I love Donna's sketch, so I'm putting my thinking cap on for this one :)

Very chic creations...I love all the little wonky lines on the second one...I need to try that. You always think so creatively!

They're both fabulous, Michele ... one soft and subtle, the other bold and CAS! I'm especially taken with the first ... the bright colour in contrast to the delicate vellum is just scrumptious! Hugs, Anita :)

What a pretty pair Michele! They're both wonderful, but I think I'm partial to the second one. I like the soft colors and the flow of your design. But then again, that bold bloom and incredible vellum look pretty darn good too!!

Can't choose! Both cards are beautiful and clever and just so wonderful. I love your vase on the first one and the colors in the poppy are gorgeous. And I love the colors on the second card. They are each a wonderful take on the sketch. Thank you for sharing! Hope you have a happy weekend!

Love that gorgeous red poppy, Michele, and what an ingenious way to make a vase. You're always thinking. The other poppies are so unique and you do a great job accenting with those stitched lines.

Both are beautiful, Michele.
Love the soft, romantic feel of the second one, but also love the gorgeous pop of colour on the first.

Oh, Michele, It's really hard to pick one favorite. Both are gorgeous in their own way. Love the vellum vase on the first card! The string and the vellum embossed together with the background panel are fabulous touch on the second card!!! Have a wonderful weekend!

What lovely cards!! The first one looks like you. The gray, the simplicity and a POP of color. I like the second one too, though. I cannot decide now!!!

Both are wonderful, Michele! Love your use of vellum! The first one with the gorgeous color and creative vase is fabulous but I also love the soft colors and the stitching on the second! No way to pick just one!
