Papertrey Ink is celebrating 2013 in such a beautiful style ... I had to jump on board with a card today, using Hands of Time - it might have been among my first purchases, and I only bought the clock face and hands dies!
You'll be surprised to know that the inspiration for my card came from a completely different 2013 release: Pedal Pusher - but more specifically this card, by Jessica Witty... ride like the wind over to her blog to see it!!!
Now for my card ... I must tell you it's a sympathy card - but sadness can be softened by beauty, if just for a moment - all the sentiments are kept inside, as they are from my heart, and for a special nephew, whose heart is in need of a hug.
The clock hands are die cut, but the clock-face is embossed onto the Smoky Shadow card-base ... I think Jessica may have used the same little Martha Stewart [age old] punch for her butterflies! I hope she'll see it, and like it, too!
Thanks for the visits this week ... hope you have fun plans or just get extra time in your craft rooms!
Tom and I are entertaining one of our little granddaughters this weekend... he thought 'glow in the dark ping-pong' would be good for a nine-year-old!!! He's the best Gramps!

This is a beautiful sympathy card Michele. I'm so sorry you need it, but I'm sure your nephew will appreciate the love you put into it. Glow in the dark ping pong ~ cool!!
Another beautiful card, Michele. It shows both sadness and warmth. I lOve the way the butterflies' colors change - grey (anchor/base of the card) to blues to light green.
Beautiful card Michele, I have always love that stamp and die set and I never got either of them!
WOW!!! This is so stunning, Michele! I don't know how you do it, but your embossing is a statement unto itself! I LOVE this color palette and your perfect little butterflies! You have really out-done yourself with this truly elegant card!
Oh, what a fantastic card! The sweet butterflies really pop on the grey (you and me with our love for grey...) and the embossing looks stunning!
It sounds like you are going to have a super weekend with your granddaughter! Enjoy!
I can see how you were inspired by Jessica's lovely card, Michele - your card is stunning, and oozes your own fantastic touches!

A-mazing! Loved the inspiration card, but yours is equally beautiful!
STUNNING!!! I think this is my favorite card you have ever made and that is saying something!! I LOVE how you used that die and the addition of the colored butterflies. Just WOW!! I am going to have to CASE this. Perfect sympathy card!!
This is one gorgeous and striking card! The dry embossed clock face, the base color and those beautiful little pops of color all add up to stunning.
I'm sure your nephew can feel the hugs sent with this card. It's lovely and its composition is just right for a sympathy card. Those little butterflies remind me of God's love. We might be caterpillars right now, but someday we'll be butterflies. Beautiful design from a loving Auntie. xo Bev

Michele, I just had to go and look at the card that inspired your beautiful card, and how could I not start following Jessica, too!!!!???? Knowing you, I know the message on the inside of your card will be very special and your card will for sure soften your nephew's sadness!!!!!! The embossed clock is simply stunning and who would not love the sweet as can be little butterflies????? Wonderfully done, my friend!!!
Have a great day!!!!!
First off Michele, I'm sorry you were in need of a sympathy card and next I'm sorry for the person who is in need of a sympathy card. But it is a beautiful card and I love the way you have used your dies and your butterflies!! Love how they emerge from the dark into the light of many colors. Just beautiful and a good choice of supplies for a sympathy card. I would say too that Tom is the best gramps ever!!! How fun for your grand to enjoy glow in the dark ping pong?!! I want to play that too. lol Hugs, Brenda
Michele, this is STUNNING! That embossed clock and the perfect coloured butterflies. Wow. Just wow.
