Muse #137

Just when you think I'm going to go all CAS on you again, I'm pulling out one of the cutest patterned papers from a SSS monthly kit ... far too many cuties to ignore any longer!

How about it?  Can you find a slip of patterned paper in your stash?  =]

I LOved typing class ... you might have never even heard of it, right?  But how do any of you manage the keyboard on your PC or Mac without it?  I'd bet I can still type 60-70 words a minute ... but let's not turn this into a competition ... wait?

This darling typewriter paper comes from My Mind's Eye, and I think it is the cutest ever!  My stamp is a little 99cent one, from WeRMemoryKeepers, called I Love You.  I've gold embossed it then created a bit of typing of my own using some of the little stamps from the SSS set that came with the kit - I See You - I even used a little tiny heart to 'type' on some of the paper images!  Gold Hugs from W&W, and ta-to-the-da!

I know a few of you had trouble with finding patterned paper in your stash [not naming names ... Jenni] but I loved how you all adapted and totally stepped up your game ... let's see if you can do it again, what do you say?

I can't wait to see you in the Muse gallery!

I remember typing class too. Probably why I can really zoom on the computer...and why hubs has me do his typing for him...lol. Love all your elements and how you put them together. Hubs and I are off and about again, but I might be able to sneak a card or two in this week.

I remember typing class, too. Man, we are aging ourselves, aren't we? LOL Sadly, I had to peak and I still only type with 2 fingers. How I passed thr Regents, I'll never know. Anyhoo, love your paper and your sweet card. Now I have to go find some here ... somewhere... in the piles of G45, Tim Holtz, Prima ...

Great use of patterned paper, Michele!! I learned on these at the start of typing class and used to just love the sound those typewriters made and then the bell on the return! Then halfway through the year, we had a whole film crew from IBM show up at our teeny tiny school in Iowa and they brought in 20 IBM Selectric typewriters for our class to be the first to try. We felt like such bigshots!! Hugs, Darnell

Yay! I have some typewriter paper. Now if I can only come up with a way to use it and the time to do it.

Cute, cute, cute! Love the gold hugs! My first job was as a secretary at a law office and we had to use carbons (remember those!) Sometimes we needed 6-8 copies and every one had to be perfect--no corrections allowed. Not sure I could ever call that the good old days!

Um, I LOVE this card!! That paper ROCKS and I like that totally fun typewriter. Makes me want to get out my typewriter stamp. I do have paper that would match but it would be HELL to try and find it in my stash. Way too much to go through. I love how you used it on your background. FABULOUS MUSE CARD!!

My Education degree is for high school English, but what landed me a job, eons ago? My ability to type! I taught social studies (junior high) my first year and then my second: Typing 10 (on manual typewriters...yet) in a high school! I did that for two years before an English position opened. Yes, the memories of fff jjj ddd kkk lll sss continue to linger! Now, those 'old-fashioned' typewriters are soooo charming...as you've clearly showcased here! Love your card...LOVE it!
