The Flower Challenge #94

Hello, my friends!  It's August already - I am NOT ready to say goodbye to Summer, are you?  Apparently either is The Flower Challenge ... take a look at the gorgeous inspiration for Challenge 94 - it's a COLOR challenge!

I adore each and every color in this TFC rainbow - and love
that bit of grey in the mix!

I've reached for Altenew's Eclectic Bouquet once again and these inks:

Together they added beautiful color to my bouquet:

The image was stamped in VersaFine Clair: Morning Mist ink,
stenciled with the layered coloring stencils, and cut
with its die.  Then I used my SU Subtle Texture to emboss the negative cut.
Residual ink on my blending brushes added shadow to the cut
edges and then my bouquet was popped up for dimension.
That sweet sentiment is also from this set... a few sequins and my playtime
is complete!

You have plenty of time to make one or two cards to add to our gallery - we can't wait to see what you'll make of our colors!  You'll find lots of gorgeous inspiration on The Flower Challenge page HERE.

A little old, a little new to FALL in love with!

Seldom do I ever get rid of a thing from my crafty stash - these wonderful products are just as fresh as they were when they were introduced by my friend over at Pigment Craft Co.  I was delighted to see her products are available over at Scrapbook.com!  Today I've paired her Modern Poinsettia with a new stencil from ASD: Pureland Fan and another Pinkfresh Studio ...

Then it dawned on me that Spellbinder used the same design as ASD for
one of their embossing folders [Fan Motif: Club November '22] ... and another card was born!

That embossing is SO close to fitting over the top of the stenciling, but not quite.
I stamped another bouquet of Poinsettias but fussy-cut just the leaves
and berries for this little bouquet with the addition of
PCC Dashing Sentiments stamps and dies.

As I was stamping and arranging these next two cards, I saw that Just us Girls is looking for Pumpkins! I have made a few - using Pigment Craft Co.: Pumpkin Patch!

First in these beautiful greens from The Stamp Market, framed by the Delightful Brackets from PTI, and backed by the houndstooth of the Baskervilles?  Nah - it's an oldie from MFT!  Here it is one more time in shades of Turmeric and Sea Grass inks from Pigment Craft Co. and the perfect sentiment from PTI.

Which one will make it to their gallery?  You'll have to check - and while you're there, why not play too!?

I'm doing my best to whittle down the box of patterned paper in my stash.
This gorgeous new plaid is one from a prize I won from the sweet ladies at
Double D!  You'll be seeing a lot of them!  I used PTI's Elegant Edges: Wheat Stalks to add a pretty little spot to rest that pumpkin.

Okay, last of all, I reached for those oldish pink and orange papers from PTI to bring Pigment Craft Co.'s gorgeous Falling Leaves to life - you'll grant me artistic license, right?  The new here is that wonderful sentiment from ASD in her gorgeous Spring Garden set.

Isn't that the truth?  October is Mental Health Month and I really make an effort to remind myself of the many reasons I have to smile ... you, my friends, are very close to the top of the list!  Thank you for hanging out with me again today!

Thanks LeAnne! and BYSHC Christmas in July 2023

I must thank my good friend, LeAnne for introducing me to the Build Your Stash Holiday Cardmakers' group!  I sure did drag my feet this year and needed all the help I could get to get a jump on my Christmas cards!

The BYSHC photo inspiration grabbed my attention, and I knew immediately which set to reach for:  Pigment Craft Co.'s Jumbo Botanical: Berry Sprig!

Here are my inks:

and a little closeup of that sparkle... and a peek at a little sprig of vellum, too...

since LeAnne influenced my playtime, of course I'm honoring her with this
wonderful SU Tasteful Textile embossing!

and along the way, I found another great use for my Waffle Flower Grip Mat!
The Ton makes these wonderful two-step sentiment stamps, after cutting with
their all-at-once die I cut an extra set for layering.  By popping them out of the
die right onto my Grip Mat they stayed put while gluing the stamped layer.

I hope you all have been better at getting a jumpstart on Christmas - maybe you could use a fantastic little challenge inspiration, too?
