Just us Girls #729 - CASE a designer!

It is a CASE a Designer time at Just us Girls challenge #729!  I'm CASEing EVERYTHING about Stephanie's gorgeous card!  After all - it IS HER BIRTHDAY!!

Happiest birthday my darling friend!  I couldn't come close to that gorgeous, elegant cover die you used - but this die from The Stamp Market made me happy - hope it makes you happy, too!

My die-cut sentiment is from Concord & 9th's Just Saying set.

Here are the inks I dipped my watercolor card panel into:

and then!  I remembered Stephanie's card had a bit of turquoise on it - oops!
Distress inks are so cooperative, aren't they?

a bit of Peacock Feathers to the rescue!

ALL of the JUGS designers are incredibly talented - I could CASE each and every one!  Are you ready to see Stephanie's gorgeousness?  Here you go...

Isn't it grand?  I will be THINKING OF YOU all day today, my friend!
Hope you are celebrating big time!
xoxo

Sunday fun day with Wplus9 and card for Just us Girls #706

Laundry is going which means I have a bit of time between loads to share with you my Sunday fun using a favorite set from Wplus9 and how I put a Christmas spin on it!

Dawn shared her 'foolproof' water coloring technique with us on her YouTube channel when she released this set.  You'll find it HERE.  It is a fun technique to try with any line-art set.  Tip:  use a good quality watercolor paper for the best movement of those wet inks!  I have my own favorite - Fabriano hot press 25% cotton which I found on Amazon.  But Dawn uses Tim Holtz watercolor paper in her video.

Ready?  let's go...

Wplus9: Just Breathe, Winter Greenery, Joyful Poinsettia,
and Vintage Ephemera.
MFT Wonky Rectangles [embossed], PF Essential Labels

Distress Oxide inks: Hickory Smoke, Barn Door, Evergreen, and
Rustic Wilderness [and a bit of wonderful linen twine from LeAnne!]

Same supplies, and inks + Gathered Twigs

After splattering with Gansai Tambi metallic watercolor paints,
I gave my dove a little treat with the leftover on my brush.
I even uncovered my sewing machine!

Lastly, I was lucky enough to snag another 'new to me' set from the shop: Bells & Bows... here is her closeup...

Another sentiment from Right at Home: Peace, Love, Joy - stamped directly onto an Altenew Ornate die cut.

This last card is heading over to Just us Girls #706 where I found all the lovely colors for my greenery, berries, and bow from their beautiful mood board - at least in my more subtle greyed-down shades!

Hope your week has started off on the best note!

Just us Girls #704

I'm popping back in with a quick post for Just us Girls #704 - Carol has chosen red and green this month for their color challenge - perfect timing, my friend!

I was so tickled to see MFT bring their Santa's Elves set out of the vault this week - always a favorite of mine!  It's so old the metal dies are NOT outline dies!  But I don't let that bother me.  My card uses one of the wonderful gifts I received for my birthday - can you believe that gorgeous, embossed texture??  Thank you, Bonnie - and for not minding if I used the elf set, too! wink.

You know my rule at Christmas: if you make one, you might as well make TWO!
Those wonderful papers are from Honey Bee's Holiday Wishes and were included
in my gift from Tom - more on that soon!

I attempted to make a few more 'masculine' cards for the seniors this year.

I better get that little elf in the gallery before the door closes!  Hope your week has been great so far - if not tomorrow's FRIDAY!  We can do it!

A little old, a little new to FALL in love with!

Seldom do I ever get rid of a thing from my crafty stash - these wonderful products are just as fresh as they were when they were introduced by my friend over at Pigment Craft Co.  I was delighted to see her products are available over at Scrapbook.com!  Today I've paired her Modern Poinsettia with a new stencil from ASD: Pureland Fan and another Pinkfresh Studio ...

Then it dawned on me that Spellbinder used the same design as ASD for
one of their embossing folders [Fan Motif: Club November '22] ... and another card was born!

That embossing is SO close to fitting over the top of the stenciling, but not quite.
I stamped another bouquet of Poinsettias but fussy-cut just the leaves
and berries for this little bouquet with the addition of
PCC Dashing Sentiments stamps and dies.

As I was stamping and arranging these next two cards, I saw that Just us Girls is looking for Pumpkins! I have made a few - using Pigment Craft Co.: Pumpkin Patch!

First in these beautiful greens from The Stamp Market, framed by the Delightful Brackets from PTI, and backed by the houndstooth of the Baskervilles?  Nah - it's an oldie from MFT!  Here it is one more time in shades of Turmeric and Sea Grass inks from Pigment Craft Co. and the perfect sentiment from PTI.

Which one will make it to their gallery?  You'll have to check - and while you're there, why not play too!?

I'm doing my best to whittle down the box of patterned paper in my stash.
This gorgeous new plaid is one from a prize I won from the sweet ladies at
Double D!  You'll be seeing a lot of them!  I used PTI's Elegant Edges: Wheat Stalks to add a pretty little spot to rest that pumpkin.

Okay, last of all, I reached for those oldish pink and orange papers from PTI to bring Pigment Craft Co.'s gorgeous Falling Leaves to life - you'll grant me artistic license, right?  The new here is that wonderful sentiment from ASD in her gorgeous Spring Garden set.

Isn't that the truth?  October is Mental Health Month and I really make an effort to remind myself of the many reasons I have to smile ... you, my friends, are very close to the top of the list!  Thank you for hanging out with me again today!

Just Us Girls #651 - Photo Week

It's photo week at Just Us Girls this week and isn't this a stunner?  Fall is truly on its way here in Michigan with falling temperatures, but our trees are not quite this colorful YET!

Carol Mc was my muse today as I loved her lifted, camouflaged panel - I had wanted to play with a new-to-me die set and an older set from Memory Box called Grateful Autumn - it gets a little attention every Fall.  Here's where I got started - by stamping the image on my card base using the lid of my MISTI! Taping down your paper AND the MISTI is very important here!

It was stamped again on a separate panel for coloring:

Then I used that new die to cut my panel before lifting it
up and aligning it with the image stamped on the card base.

This image never gets old - and I adore this Slimline Label set from Altenew!

Thanks Carol, it's my turn to say 'saw it had to make it!'

Bonus: it fits the Double D Challenge: Things that Fall! Pretty easy to see where my inspiration came from!
