Narelle is our Sketch artist for Freshly Made Sketches #705, and it challenged me in all the fun ways!
Very simple and CAS in my book - sometimes those are the most challenging of all, don't you agree? But I had just the dies for it... and perfect timing as I needed
a 'get well' for my cousin who was struck by a car at the grocery store!
I found tipping it on its side helped with my design - Narelle won't mind a bit!
You'll remember that darling Spellbinders Sunflower my friend sent me?
This time I had help from Color Throwdown #841 to choose cardstock colors.
Narelle's 'strips' were created using a die from Waffle Flower Crafts: Nested Domes
and the sentiment is from Alex Syberia Designs: Tulip Treasures.
We hope you'll have just the right supplies at your fingertips! Come play!

Tipping works perfectly....except for cows! This is one sweet card!
A fab interpretation for both!😍
This is a sweet card, Michele! Sorry for the need to make it, though I’m sure it will brighten your cousin’s day!
Gorgeous, Michele. Love that beautiful vibrant bloom against the neutral elements. Very cozy feel.
Oh Michele! Be still my heart! With the polka dotty background, textured stripes and those rich, glorious colors, can we all stand in line to receive this one? No? Well, you're right, it is best to go to your cousin, and I hope she's on the mend soon!
Love the colors you used on this and you can NEVER go wrong with this gorgeous flower die! Hit by a car at the grocery store?! Oh my goodness! Hope she's okay!
Speedy recovery to your cousin! I'm sure this card will cheer her up, tipped or not! Love the color palette you used, too. So good!
You found the perfect dotty background to go with the fun Sunflower, Michele. So sorry about your cousin. I hope she's doing well.
Love your take on the sketch and your use of the colors! I think your cousin will too... hope she's okay!
So much to love about this one Michele...the polka dotted background, the textured strips, the sunflower and the gorgeous colors! LOVE it!! Sending a few extra prayers to your cousin that she has a speedy recovery! Hugs. :0)
Wow, so sorry to hear about your cousin being struck by a car. Sending prayers.
Your card is gorgeous using Narelle's sketch and these colors. Love the sunflower.
These flowers make a beautiful sunflower and I love the woodgrain "pickets" beneath the flower! How awful that your cousin was hit at the grocery store. I hope she recovers quickly.
I am in love with those colors, and I love what you did with the sketch. That very subtle polka dot background is the perfect stage for your bold and beautiful sunflower
Love stripes, love sunflowers, love blue and rust, so your card is a winn8ng design to me! Thanks, Michele!
Gorgeus card Michele, these colours!!
You used the inspiration from both challengs to their fullest. GORGEOUS>.
Great take on the sketch I love that sunflower. Hope your cousin wasn't seriously hurt and I'm sure she will appreciate this fantastic card.

Another great sketch that I just love and it does offer up so many possibilities, such as your sideways orientation with that pretty sunflower in such rich and fabulous colors! I just love that extra little flower you added for an accent. Such a cute touch! Gosh, I'm sorry about your cousin!
A beautiful card Michele! A great take on the 2 challenges ! Enjoy your weekend! :)
Beautiful! I love the clever orientation of the sketch too!
This card is sure to cheerup your cousin. Hope she is doing better. I love that sunflower die and after seeing your pink version, had to go and buy it! :) Love it in these colours too! :)
What a beautiful card. I sure hope your cousin recovers fully and quickly. Hugs to him/her.
I'm on the road, so I'm late to comment on this wonderful design! I love everything about it (again!) and have pinned it to remember this fabulous CAS design.
