The Paper Players #757

While I had my stencils out for JUGS, I made another stenciled card using Altenew's Classic Pine A&B and [as I was taught by my friends in the Group of Cardmakers] I couldn't let that residual ink go to waste but instead did a monoprint!  ALL THAT to say I used that very monoprint as a background for my card for The Paper Players #757!  It's sketch time and Stef has a great one for us...

What might look like mud to some pleases my eye very much!
Would it help to see the stenciled card?  Maybe...

So much pretty ink to take advantage of with just
a fine spritz of water flipped over and pressed onto a panel of paper!

I wonder if Lisa and the JUGS team would mind second helpings?

Okay, I'd better get this little Chickadee over to The Paper Players before
their door closes!  Have a great day!

I'm a fan of that wonderful background, and I love that chickadee! It's a beautiful holiday card! I don't have many birds in my collection. You may have sent me shopping.

Your stenciled pine cones are gorgeous, but WOW to the "monoprint" that pleases MY eye very much too! Love them both!

That background pleases me too, so I am glad you didn't waste that ink. I have been busy again and struggling to find time for blogland so my apologies if you don't see me a regularly xx

Michele, this watery background is PERFECT for the little bird. You’re on a roll recently and it’s very inspiring. Thanks.

Your monoprint background is very pleasing to my eye as well, Michele! It's perfect for giving just a hint of subtle color and design. Plus, it doesn't take away from the beautiful wreath with that darling chickadee. Both cards are gorgeous btw! Thank you so much for joining in and playing along with my sketch this week!

Your stenciled pinecones are lovely but that monoprint from them and sweet little chickadee in the braided wreath is so wonderful. Love it. Fabulous cards.

That kind of background is always pleasing to my eye too, Michele , but so is that sweet chickadee. The pine cone and pine stencil is fabulous and a welcome addition at Just Us Girls.

This is an amazing monoprint, Michele, and makes a perfect background for this delightful chickadee on the wreath! The stenciled card is amazing too! I love the glow in the pine cones!

With second helpings as pretty as this, how could I possibly mind! Thanks for a repeat appearance at JUGs! Where has that fabulous stencil been hiding, I love it. Loving that sweet chickadee too and your wishy washy background!

Oh my word - TWO beauties! I love that your desire to reuse and recycle has given us such an arty and moody background. The bird on the wreath is just a showstopper. Thank you so much for sharing with us at The Paper Players.

I like your little chickadee card and background. It has a rustic feel that shows off your wee bird. Your stenciled card looks pretty festive, too!

Both cards are beautiful Michele, but my eye is on the chickadee. Super sweet card with the artistic background.

Oh, Michele! That doesn't look like mud to me at all! It's absolutely beautiful! Your whole card is everything I love from the warm and woodsy background to the sweet little chickadee. Love how the braided circle works as a wreath with the pert bow at the top. The stencil, itself, is incredible, and makes an outstanding card on its own. Stencil monoprints are addictive. This one turned out amazing!

Both of these cards are wonderful. The background that came from smooshing the inks from the pinecone card is so NOT muddy. It's fabulous. What a wonderful combination of colors. I love that Plaited Frame and that darling little bird. So lovely.

Great use of the 'left over' colour, and I would call it 'earthy' tones, perfect for your sweet bird!

I just love the gorgeous little bird card! I really love birds. Love the coluours you've used on both. :)

Ack...I just love this little chickadee perched on that wreath (I am getting MY dies on Monday!!!)--sweet as can be! And the pine cones "leftovers" are perfect for the background. THey're pretty darn sweet too! You know how to get the best use from all your goodies! Thanks for sharing this with us at the Paper Players this week!
