I've lost a very dear friend and I'm not gonna lie - I'm heartbroken.
Coni Longley and I never met, even though it was a wish we shared. And yet we could talk for hours on the phone while laughing and crying and of course sharing everything we love about our shared love of card making, and cooking.
I am never able to use yellow on my cards without thinking about Coni - I've mentioned her love of yellow many times here on my blog... hoping always that she was able to read my posts and feel the love.
Cancer took her voice, but never her heart or sense of humor ... thank you, Coni - I hope you can see this from Heaven... God only knows.

Hi there, folks. This is a tough post
to compose and type but my wonderful, loyal subscribers deserve it.
Due to an aggressive disease, I will
be closing this blog. Please understand that this is the last thing I wanted to
do but it's necessary. My energy has been sapped by this unrelenting illness.
I'm grateful to those who have sent
beautiful handmade cards...they are very much appreciated.
So all I can say is, love all those
who have gone on this cardmaking adventure with me. Keep sharing all your
fabulous creations.

I am sending love to you, my friend. I didn't know Coni well, but my heart aches for her journey and those who loved her. I'm sure she is smiling down on you, sweet friend.
Oh Michele I am in tears reading this. I am so sorry and am heartbroken too 😭 She was one of the first American cardmakers who followed me on Instagram in 2017, when I just joined. I remember how she would join the CAS challenges and her punny cars always inspired me. I always felt her encouragement and warmth through her words and though I had noticed that she wasn't crafting, I didn't know about the battle she was fighting. She was always so excited to know about our Indian festival cards! She was an angel to me and I will always miss her. Sending you hugs and prayers for her family 🙏

Oh dear, I am so sorry to hear this news. I knew Coni had been unwell, but didn't realise it was that serious. Such a beautiful card, she would have loved it. What an amazing colour and the white highlights make it really special. Thanks for sharing the news, so very sad xx

Such sad news to hear Michele, I also didn't realize she was so unwell. She was (and so am I) very lucky to have you as a friend, it's people like you that help bring a smile to a day and I am sure that you did just that for her. Michele, I'm so sorry for the loss of your dear friend. My heart goes out to her husband, her family and her friends. She sounds like she was a beautiful soul. My gosh, this is the most heart wrenching sad thing to read. I'm thinking so many things right now, but can hardly put it in words here. Cancer has taken so many beautiful people, plus my sweet LuLu. I ache for Coni's husband and all those who loved her, including you. I'm sorry. Your card is fine and beautiful.
I heard of Coni's passing in the past couple of days. I did not know her well, but I enjoyed her presence in this craft community of ours. THere are no words when you lose someone dear to you. It seems the older we get, the more often our hearts are broken in this way. Sending loving hugs and wishes for a healing heart.

I'm so very sorry for your loss mf. Your tribute card to your dear friend is just so wonderful and so tastefully done as always. So many have lost their fight with this horrible disease. All we can do is pray for the souls that have left us.

I am HEARTBROKEN about Coni's passing. She was one of my most loyal supporter and follower. I will miss our chats over FB Messenger. I have never met Coni in person, but I felt that she knew me and my family far better than my neighbors next door...Coni would have loved this card in yellow.
