Imagine my joy when Jenny asked if I'd like to be a guest designer at CAS Mix Up in May! YES! I would, I would! lol When I was told it was a stencil challenge, I was a wee bit apprehensive - oh I have plenty of stencils! I just don't use them very often. But, here is the clincher... RAINBOW!!! Susan is our host with the most, and she has combined that rainbow with ink blending through a stencil!
How could I say no to that fun?! So I did a little search through my stash, and yes, I found one from Flora & Fauna that hadn't been used: Leaf Stencil. Then pulled out these Distress Oxides:
I mounted a piece of Bristol to my acetate, pulled out my brushes, and added a rainbow of color. Then die-cut a cute Waffle Flower Magical Flower cut from Bristol, a fun square hemstitch detail, a sweet sentiment stamped, and VOILA!
This wonderful sentiment is from a Stamplorations set - you'll see more of it soon!
Thank you to the CAS Mix Up team for the invitation to play cards! I had so much fun I hope they ask me for a reminder card!!
I'm betting right about now you have your thinking cap on, right? Oh we do hope you'll play along, too - remember this is a month-long challenge!
I count you twice, too. This card...whatever can I say...I am totally in love with it. All the color juxtaposed with the texture just makes my heart happy. Meticulous construction just adds to it's loveliness.
This card is so joyful and your diecut flower compliments the stencil perfectly. I was so thrilled to see you as guest designer this month, welcome to the team your excellent contributions are greatly appreciated xx
OMG...Gorgeous Stenciled Leaves, Michele!!! Love your added die cut flower in white cardstock and uncolored. Your flower blends in so well with the pretty rainbow background. TFS the link to the beautiful stencil too. So pleased you are joining us this month as our Guest Designer, my friend. Love and Hugs..Nancy
Knew you would nail this challenge Michele! Brilliant card full of cheery bright colours - fab! Lovely to have you as our Guest Designer this month! x
Those rainbows are everywhere on your post. Darling card. Rainbow is something I find intimidating but I might give it a try. Have a great weekend.
You have totally rocked this stencil Michele, and isn't that what challenges are all about... now, if they had of said embossing folder or use grey there would have been no challenge at all lol.
Congratulations on your win and it's so nice to have you Guesting at CAS Mix Up this month, my friend! Love, love, love this stenciled background and the gorgeous die cut! Fabulous sentiment too!

Such soft, pretty rainbow colors, Michele, and love how you used them with your leaf stencil. I don't use my stencils as often as I should, either, tsk tsk, but I always enjoy them when the time comes. You do make the most fabulous cards and I'm sure glad you're our guest designer this month!
