Just another Friday Fun-day!

I'm not going to lie, my friends - this has been a lost week, since my second vaccine on Wednesday!  But today, I'm feeling a bit better, and very, very glad that I had so much fun on Monday & Tuesday to share here on Friday!

Here are the first makes since I received my first order from PinkFresh Studios' Washi release... first time out of the package, just the way it was intended, by adhering my Anemone Magic washi to cardstock [I cut mine 4 x 9"] and die-cutting with the amazing die that cuts ALL of the images at once!  I love the water-colored look of these washi tapes!

Next up, stamped and Copic colored using the coordinating Anemone Magic stamp set...

It's quite subtle but look closely and you'll see that I've used one of the
PinkFresh Studio Argyle stencils to emboss my card panel.  Then added a little smooshed leftover Distress ink, a few splatters, and their wonderful jewels for interest.  My sentiment comes from
PinkFresh Studio's Floral Notes - more on that beauty another day.

Here is a little trick that was shared recently on one of the PFS LIVEs...
using the LID of my MISTI to pick up those really big stamps works
great - but be sure to anchor it well, so you can re-stamp if necessary.

Color Hues is asking for black and white this week -  I've chosen
my favorite Black Licorice ink for stamping, and added interest
with another of their wonderful stand-alone dies - Braided Tags.

I popped my black & white Anemones onto two layered tags.
By the way, there's nothing that says one cannot partially die cut
with that big ol' die!

Okay, my friends - that was a lengthy post for my foggy brain!  Thanks for hanging in there with me!!  Hope you have a wonderful weekend!

I had a bit of a reaction to my second vaccine, as well, so I know how you feel. But it certainly didn't curtail your creative thinking. Perhaps the time it took to get through your system made you even more clever, because these cards are awesome. As I scroll through this post, I find each one is a work of art. What a wonderful way to start my Friday.

Hope you are feeling much better Michele. I am still waiting to get my first shot. But I'll finally be able to sign up on the 26th and we'll see how long it takes from there. These are stunning cards each one as lovely or more lovely than the last.

Yet another set of stunning cards. I have never seen washi tape that you can die cut before and then matching stamps too. No end of possibilities. I was going to congratulate you on the watercolouring until I realised! I think the black and white tag is my favourite. glad you are feeling better now xx

I had a down day myself after the second shot.....just soooo tired! I am glad you rebounded nicely.....did not affect your creativity one little bit! These are all beautiful but the glam of the b/w steals the show!

Sorry to hear you where under the weather with your second vaccination Michele. You are hearing it quite a lot on the blogs x.
The washi tape on your first card looks amazing and what a beautiful card. The co-ordinating stamp set looks so pretty on the second one, along with the Argyle embossing. What a clever idea with using the lid of the misti x. The tag card looks striking and very classy with a fabulous design Michele x.
Spoiling us today and thank you so very much for sharing your stunning cards x.

Sorry you've felt bad since your second shot, but glad you've had it. It will pass and it's better than COVID! I'm glad you had so much fun with your new toys! Wow! Three beautiful projects! Thanks for all the tips. I'm going back and read them again!

So many fabulous PFS items and you shared some of my favorites! What a wonderful set of cards - you do have my address, right? I think you'll be on the road again from what I hear but reading your words makes me not look forward to April 1, my 2nd Pfizer shot. Glad you'll be ready to play and travel in two weeks with peace of mind. 💕

Oh no!! I'm sorry you were feeling poorly after your second shot. Hopefully, that is now all behind you and your are feeling right as rain from here on out. Your cards here are just beautiful, Michele. I mean, seriously beautiful. So elegant and lovely. That washi seems pretty cool and that hack with the lid confused me at first, but I think you have the stamp on the outside of the lid, is that right? Thank you for sharing every little bit. :) Hugs!

The four of us had both shots, and everyone had something weird after the second, but it is so wonderful to have been able to be vaccinated. Still being super careful for others, but it's quite liberating. I was trying so hard not to even LOOK at the PinkFresh Washi release, and now look what you have done. These are all so full of gorgeousness, I can hardly stand it! I love that subtle stenciling on the middle one. My favorite detail is the the die cutting around the sentiment in the third. Another purchase you enabled for me. Now I just wish I had more time to craft... Maybe I will bey a lottery ticket.

So sorry you had such a bad reaction; as my nurse friend says it's a sign those antibodies are busy at work protecting you! Luckily, I had no more than a very sore arm for several days. Love that Washi tape, but I especially love the black and white (of course!) and especially the unique design (you've done it again!) with the tags. Stunning! Thanks for joining us at Color Hues!

I'm glad you are okay now... I was awful after my jab but it was worth it and visiting here is always worth it... I love all your creations but that tag has my heart!

I'd say you definitely had FUN Monday and Tuesday this week with all that creating and each one is a masterpiece in itself Michele!! I had been going back and forth between the English Garden and the Anemone washi tapes, but after seeing your 1st card I went right over to PFS and ordered...thank you for deciding for me!! I did not get the stamp set because I already had a couple other items I HAD to have, but now am wondering if I should just have ordered it anyway?!! Your 2nd card is just lovely and I really like how you used the Argyle stencil to create an embossed look...very cool! And your black & white card...STUNNING!! What a FABULOUS post my friend...didn't want it to end!! Enjoy your weekend and hope you're feeling 100% today so you can enjoy this sun-shiny 1st day of Spring!! Hugs. :0)

Three fab makes Michele, all beautiful in their own right. I could not have guessed the first was washi tape and your take on the Color Hues colours works brilliantly. Thanks for joining in. :)

Wait?! So there are rolls of washi that have dies too?!!! Holy cow, I am really living under a rock! lol Love your beautiful cards, those flowers are just stunning. So happy that you are feeling so much better Michele, it takes a while for cells to quiet back down after they have been ramped up by the vaccine. Stay feeling well my sweet friend! Hugs, Brenda

Michele, I'm so sorry to hear that you were not feeling well after your second vaccination, but glad to hear you're feeling a bit better.
Dies for Washi tape!? That's a wonderful idea, and you used the die-cut washi flowers so well for your card! I love the watercolor look too.
The light colors of the second card are highlighted beautifully by the dark gray frame. Adding the subtle texture to the background is a wonderful touch too. The tag is simple and elegant. Love how you used the big and small "U" shapes!

Hope you are feeling better soon, I've been pretty good but glad that it's done and dusted. Your cards are sooo very pretty!

Beautiful cards, all three are really wonderful! Card #1 -- beautiful washi, oh my! Card #2 -- love the softness and subtle stencil texture. Card #3 -- IN LOVE with this one... b&w, partial "braiding" around the sentiment -- just classy!

What I can't wrap my brain around is WHY you would use the back of the lid to stamp -- is it to big to fit inside?

JulieP said...

WOW! Gorgeous, all of them. Love that b/w slimline so much!

With or without color those Anemones are beautiful, Michele. I love the embossing with the Argyle stencil and I will try to remember that when I need a little extra something on my card.

Such a pretty post my friend. I think I need to come to your house to play with your stamps!

Such a great post Michele! Minus the part where the second shot knocked you down for a bit. I am a tad worried as I had a reaction to the first shot and in fact still don't feel 100%. Anyway, onto that gorgeous Black and White slimline card! I think it looks so very elegant! All of the cards are lovely! Thanks for playing along at Color Hues!
