As much as I wanted to dig through my stash for my abstract paint swipes, I was inspired to use these delectable paint colors to do something totally different today … it turned out even better than I'd hoped! For Inspired By #143:
I was able to 'stretch' my W&W Into the Woods* stencil to create tall and skinny trees, for my tall and skinny card! Believe me, it took a bit of trickery, but I was happy in the end! and there's my fun Lil' Inkers' Quilted Spirals* again... can you hear the wind through my trees? Here are the inks I've used today...
That Altenew School Days sentiment says it all! Where did Summer go? Well, the colors are indeed changing to a more Fall-like color palette around Michigan. Head over to the IB blog to see our Sketch, and all the fun cards my IB teamies have created, and then, why not play along?!

Oh this is perfect! Love that stencil work.
Beautiful card, Michele. I really like how the trees extend all the way to the top of the slimline card. Great use of that cover die, too. We are going to have a last gasp of summer the next few days (forecast in the 90s), but next week should feel like fall. Have a lovely weekend. :) Hugs!
Stunning way to use those stencils...and colors...and dies! LOVE it!
What an awesome way to use these gorgeous colors, Michele! I love how the wind is swirling around the trees! Great job of stretching, my friend!
Wonderful design, Michele, and I love the colors and the swirling wind!
OMG! You really nailed this one...so reminiscent of Fall. Love the TALL trees and their colors. The swirls and sentiment just makes this card perfect.
Those trees are so clever and what genius to use the swirls like leaves. As I sit here listening to rain pouring down outside I am relating to that sentiment xx
Oh my...this is GORGEOUS Michele! I just love the colors and how you stretched your stencil to create these tall trees, and of course the swirls in the background and that fab sentiment make this card totally AWESOME!! Love it!! Hugs. :0)

I would love walking through a forest filled with pretty trees like these!
I wouldn't even mind a swirly little gust of wind or two! Beautifully done!
The quilted swirls sure add wonderful movement through those fabulous tress Michele. Great sentiment and I love how you extended the tree stencil x.

What a clever take on the stripes, Michele ... these tall trees are fabulous ... yep, I hear the breeze swirling around those colourful bare branches! Hugs, Anita :)
Fabulous!!! Oh my Michelle you have such wonderful ideas and colouring the birch like you did really REALLY looks amazing!
Makes me want to paint the birch trees up at the lake! Adorable card!
Good job stretching that stencil into this wonderful slimline design! I love this color palette and yes, it’s sad about W&W! I had just discovered this and then they were gone!
Hugs - Rachelle : )
Love your interpretation of the IB photo, Michele! I think trees are more interesting and unexpected than paint swipes. The softly stenciled colors are so pretty and the Quilted Spirals are the perfect wind!
Hideko xx
