A day of play with Fall Florals from PTI

There is a cute little bush, that grows near water or wetlands, called Buttonbush - this Fall Floral set from PTI reminds me of it!  I've take liberties with their color!

I've had a bit of fun with a few of the Distress Oxide inks that just didn't want to get put away just yet... here's a look at my fun day using Evergreen Bough, and Peeled Paint...

I also really wanted to play with that wonderful Altenew die again...
this time, a slimline card!  and a mop-up of these inks, plus Scattered Straw!

This little playtime sure did help me get over the hump ... hope it brings a little pleasure to your Wednesday, too!

Supplies:

Hey friend:  the branch of leaves from my snippets bin; a card base cut with W&W Noelle Cutaways from Bristol card; DOX inks, and Versafine Smoky Gray ink for my EBE It's All Good sentiment.

Just Because:  PTI Scalloped frame die - cut from PTI Stormy Sea card stock; Reverse Confetti Stitched Scallops cover plate, cut with Altenew Rounded Rectangles; EBE Totally Random Sayings vol. 3 for sentiment.  Card base and scalloped rectangle cut from Bristol card.

Just Because I love you:  Card base cut from water color card; EBE Totally Random Sayings vol. 3 sentiment, stamped with Versafine Smoky gray ink.  The little berries were cut separately from gold card.

Oh boy are these fabulous or what! I love your pretty little button bush cards, especially the color you went with. And your slimline card is ever so lovely. I think you flattened that hump today and cruised right over it!

Wow, you've been busy since I last came to visit! Love these colors and the sweet button bush! I've never seen one of those so I doubly enjoyed seeing both your created buttons and the real thing. And those leaves are breathtaking! That bit of yellow lights them up!

Well, golly. You play session with those ink choices turned into quite a lot of really fabulous art work. Couldn't pick a favorite if I tried. I see how inspired you were.

I can't wait until I get to my 'new' studio so I can sit down and just play. I hope my cards turn out half as fantastic as these, Michele.

That is what I need is some playtime, so many other things always seem to get in the way. Beautiful cards with serene messages! xo

Had to look up buttonbush, Michele ... it's native to the USA and I've not seen one IRL (yet!). What a fabulous shrub ... your cards depict it beautifully ... they're so fresh and pretty ... and what a lovely colour combo! That last card is a stunner ... you took mop up and made it oh so special with that yummy die! Hugs, Anita :)

Wow, loving all these cards Michele! The two DIO's are so pretty together. I don't think I would have put these two together, but I am so loving them together! I don't have all the Oxides yet, and clearly I need them. One day...You always bring life to your cards Michele, they are always stunning! I was just showing your cards off to a friend of mine yesterday as we had a little play day. We just don't have the knack, but we sure had fun playing trying to make different backgrounds! Hugs, Brenda
