When I saw the prompt for CAS Christmas, I wondered... does the tag have to the 'star' of the card? I'm entering my card with hope that the CAS team likes it!! =]
These trees were actually fussy-cut from a really old 12x12 piece of patterned paper! I'd love to make a stamp set with sketchy trees like these!
I think my little EBE Retro Holiday greetings add
the perfect sentiment, for my sweet little TAG!

While I'm at it, I have a sweet little bookmark-card, with several partially die cut RC flutterbys … think CAS Mix Up would mind if there were more than one cut?- It was easy to Stamp with the intention of partial die cutting this little guy
- Heat Embossing made the watery color stay where I wanted it
- Using the coordinating die to Partially die cut each butterfly was easy to do!
Here are the inks I used:
The weathermen are calling for loads of snow in our neck of the woods - gives me plenty of reason to stay in my studio for two more CAS cards - wink, wink!
Thanks for spending so much time with me this week - your comments make my heart so happy!

You've had a busy day. And, apparently, an industrious one. Makes me want snow so I can play all day. Think the tag card is brilliant...it would make a lovely stamp/die set. And the butterfly card is spectacular.
I love that little tag, very sweet and your white triangle behind the trees adds a really nice bit of interest and texture. Your butterflies are just lovely xx
Wow Michele! who could not LOVE your amazing CAS Christmas Tag!! gees!! you never stop amazing me with your talent!!
Your partially cut tag is also adorables!! Loving the splash of color : )
I agree that there needs to be a stamp with these sketchy trees! Maybe Ellen H. will take the hint? I also love that you've placed them on the offset triangle and have the tag hanging from the tree!
I'm impressed with all these partially die cut butterflies! Each is so pretty and will be so cheerful holding the place in a book. Thanks for sharing with us at CAS Christmas and CAS Mix Up!
LOVE your tree card Michele! Good thing I actually read your post cause I really thought your trees were stamped! And seriously, they should be stamps cause I'd buy them! And your sweet little tag hanging from one of the trees is perfect! Your colorful and partial cut butterflies make a FABULOUS bookmark too!! You've been a very creative crafter today!! :0)
Great use of the patterned paper Michele on your Christmas card and a cute idea with the tag x. Such a unique and wonderful bookmark and such pretty colours and wonderful partial die cutting x.
Stay in and craft with the predicted snow Michele and enjoy x.
You have snow, we have rain, overnight we have had over 200ml (8") of rain and it's still pouring! It's a wonderful sight after one of our driest years in history. It's even be raining over some of the places where the fires are so fingers crossed it rains over all of them! ps look at you go with your Christmas cards, you are amazing... and those sweet butterflies would make any reader want to open the page. ps stay safe and warm x ...and I had to delete my previous comment because the computer gave me the wrong conversion before and my hubby had to correct it lol.
I don' know what the CAS team will think, but I for one, LOVE IT! Also love those pretty little butterflies. Heck no to all the snow! I know our temps are taking a dive. Hopefully not much snow. Snuggle in, stay warm and craft away! XO
Will you stop! Those trees are incredible and the tag hanging off is perfection! Loving those partial die cut butterflies! Thanks so much for playing along at CAS mix Up!
Coming to visit your site is like visiting an art gallery...such a plethora of styles, colors, techniques...I love both of these ideas! The partially diecut butterflies are DIVINE!
Love the design of your “tag” card!!!! And no one does butterflies like you, my dear. 😄
Happy to see whatever you create, it makes MY heart happy. Love your happy little trees and the tag on the first card! Can you just hear Bob Ross say that? I can. :) And those butterflies make my heart go pitter pat! Love! Thanks for sharing, my talented friend! Hugs! Stay warm and dry!
Such a sweet, happy partial die cut butterflies, so beautifully watercolored bookmark card, Michele. I LOVE it!!! Love your CAS fussy cut DSP Christmas trees with a sweet tag too. Your added cut triangle in the background was..genius! It adds a new dimension and keeps the card CAS:-) TFS both beauties, my friend. Hugs..Nancy
Great job of fussy-cutting of the trees, Michele!
I love that you put a white-on-white offset triangle as a backdrop!
And what a beautiful butterfly card! The rainbow colors are so pleasing to the eye and the I love your soft watercoloring.
The partial die-cut adds “fluffy” dimension to the butterfly wings and they almost look like they’re about to fly away from the bookmark card. :-) Thanks so much for sharing this beauty at CAS Mix Up!
Hoping you’ll see a sign of spring sometime soon!
Hideko xx
You definitely are right about those trees becoming future stamps. They are unique. Love the backdrop for this trio too.
What a bright and joyful bookmarker! Lots of partial die cutting too giving the impression that the flutters will fly away soon ;)
Thanks for joining us at CAS Mix Up! xx
We had a dusting of snow and its colder than it has been in a while. So I am happy to be snugged up inside. YOur tag card and trees are fabulous...and I have seen trees similar somewhere...thinking tim holtz maybe. Your partially cut butterflies are so colorful and pretty what a great bookmark. Stay warm.
what a great use of old paper, I love your little trees with the tag. Michele this is perfect for CAS Christmas, thanks for dropping bye :)
Your tag card is perfect, and I love the layers you used. And your butterflies? Not sure how you call it easy, but I'll drool either way!
Oh I love those trees Michele, I would have sworn you had stamped and heat embossed them. lol Yes, they would make a fabulous stamp! You little tag is perfect hanging off the one tree and perfect for the challenge. I love your second card with the partial die cutting. How beautiful it is and would make a perfect book mark for a special someone. I was trying to figure out something to partial die cut...need to keep the thinking cap on but also put a rush on it too. lol We got a dusting of snow and then freezing rain. What a mess. Iced up windows, steps and patio. Finally today, it melted enough to shovel the ice off, but baby is it cold outside tonight with that wind! Stay warm my friend, stay warm. Hugs, Brenda
Both cards are stunning. I love those trees, if they came as a stamp set I would definitely buy them!

Two fabulous cards Michele. Love your stand of trees and the little tag is just perfect --- thanks for sharing with us as CAS Christmas! Your butterfly card is incredible. Looks like it would have taken a long time to partially die-cut each butterfly, but how fantastic this looks. Love the bright mix of rainbow colours too. A very happy card / bookmark! Thanks for sharing with us at CAS Mix Up! xx
Absolutely stunning cards, Michele! I love your sketchy trees and your partial die-cut butterflies are perfect...especially with your rainbow of colors You definitely nailed it, my friend!
I actually have a sketchy tree like the vertically drawn one, Michele. It's from EBE so maybe Julie would do some like the others. They look great on that texture panel with the gold embossed tag. I love the rainbow tower of butterflies. I never think to make tall cards like that.
Yes, Michele ... do make a stamp just like these sketchy trees ... they're fabulous against all that white on white texture! Gorgeous kaleidoscope of dimensional butterflies ... they're like little jewels in those delicious colours! Hugs, Anita :)
