Another box card ~ for FMS400

We had a short 3-day road trip this weekend, crossing the gorgeous Mackinac Bridge, heading North to Canada, and then a wonderful drive South along the Lake Huron coastline - for the most part, in Ontario, Canada.   We always think Lake Michigan is the best of all the Great Lakes, since we're so close - Huron, you've become my second favorite of them all!

An idea percolated in my brain while riding …  I couldn't wait to put that idea to paper for Freshly Made Sketches' 400th Sketch celebration …

… a landscape box card!  I hope you've had a chance to watch Shari Carrol's video - it was the guide for the birthday card I made for my husband last week!

 Here are a few closeups...

and a peek at how I add a sentiment:

Hope you like it, FMS designers … you've inspired so many cards over the years, and I've loved playing along with your challenge, and so very honored to win a few, too!

Congratulations on your 400th Challenge!  Cheers to the next 400!!

I'm glad I'm not the only one who designs card while I'm driving somewhere! But to be fair I've never designed one quite as awesome as this! This is stunning....and I think I should watch Shari's video right away! I'm so happy to see you in our gallery for our momentous sketch. :) <3

This is gorgeous, Michele! Leave it to you to come up with this beauty. I love the colors on the background and that fabulous flower. How you added the sentiment on the back is so smart, too. All around wonderful, my friend. I hope your husband had a fabulous birthday. Your weekend getaway sounds heavenly. :)

My oh my oh my.....who knew box cards were a thing? This is beyond gorgeous! I design while I am falling asleep...think I need to work on designing at times when I am wide awake! And the Great Lakes are fabulous - I went to college in Oswego NY and spent four years living on the shores of Lake Ontario - it was fabulous -and the winters were crazy wild! So glad you joined our celebration at FMS!

So loverly! I've been a fan of Shari's box cards for years--been too long since I last made one! Need to rectify that, LOL!

Hey Michele! I love this...I just watched her video about a month ago and it's fabulous! Hey - whose center die cut is that? I've been looking for a rectangular die with specialty edging and that would fit the bill! : )
