Inspired By #37 ... time to bake

 

Along the Lake Michigan shoreline, it's definitely feeling a bit like Fall, my friends!   It's officially my favorite time to bake, and cook!  I have a darling little Chef in my stash who agrees...

Essentials by Ellen September Release

I'm back at the Ellen Hutson blog, hanging out with a few of my crafty teamies!  Our assignment [who could refuse?] was to play with a the sweet products from the September release... Ellen's Essentials Gingerhouse and coordinating dies fulfilled my assignment sweetly:



I can never resist a Gingerbread cookie, can you?  Today, I baked an entire family, and frosted my card base!

Think six was enough?  think again...

It was quite easy to line up the 'frosted' roof stamp for repeated stamping by heat embossing each section before adding another.   [If you notice a bit of imperfection, you should see my actual piped royal icing... yeeeesh!]



 

 

OH, that sentiment cracks me up! 

 

I created a custom piece of gingerbread cardstock by blending Spiced Marmalade, and Vintage Photo distress inks onto a piece of Neenah Solar White 80# cardstock … finally a time when my terrible blending skills paid off - no two cookies look alike, right?  lol

 

You'll have to excuse me now … I must run by to see the sweetness from my crew at the new EH blog ... oh!  You should come, too!!

Essentials by Ellen - Goody, goody!

I'm just as anxious to shop as you are, for all these lovely new Essentials by Ellen products designed by Julie Ebersole!  I have MONDO love for this release!  I also have a sweet tooth for gumdrops!  Goody for me that I was lucky enough to receive this sweet Ginger House stamps, and coordinating die set to play with!

I'll be over at the new Ellen Hutson blog tomorrow, playing along with friends.  Could NOT stop playing until I was able to make a non-holiday, birthday card using this set!

A sweet little panel cut from EH Oyster Gray cardstock

… sent along with a few sweets, in the new House Box cut from acetate, for the sweet girl who will receive this!

CAS[E] this Sketch #288

Ms. Donna has created a very interesting Sketch #288... check it out:

I was in need of a 'get well' card this week … it was easy to incorporate Donna's Sketch, and a few patterned papers from my enormous stash!

 

That patterned paper was just too pretty to cover up, so I used a bit of vellum for my card.  Take a closer look:

 

 

Is it just a coincidence that these papers remind of a my favorite Kleenex boxes?  What better for a friend with the sniffles?

TCP Tuesday #350 ... on Wednesday!

Am I the only one that gets goofed up with Monday holidays?  I mean, come on!  It's not like I didn't know it was coming, but Labor Day had me laboring to remember there was a DT card due … you'll forgive me, right?  enough groveling...

Labor Day signals the beginning of Fall card making at TCP Tuesday!  Here is my FALL card...

I've put together our Big Little Alphas, and fun arrows [did you earn yours free?] with that fun puppy Critter die, and the perfect sentiment for his wind-blown look!  [yes, he is on a wobbler!] All of my die-cuts are from patterned paper of the Fall persuasion.   Though the embossing folder is not from TCP, I love using it for that wind-blown feeling.

I hope the feeling of Fall finds you playing along with our TCP Tuesday Challenge #350!
