The Group of Seven Cardmakers are at it again and I happen to LOVE their current technique so here I am joining in the fun!
I have used many of my cover dies as embossing plates before, but this set of circular Penny Black Ripples has never been cut apart! So, each time I use it there are multitudes of frames cut, and many are tucked into the packaging for later use... we all know how that goes.

HoneyBee Peony layers using Distress re-inkers on Bristol paper!

LOVE your beautiful peonies and colors! Michele, you may also be brilliant (imho) when it comes to using the gradient as well for coloring your flowers -- I for one really stumble when getting to coloring the layers. I also love that you embossed all the circles together

Oooh, such a beautiful peony, and I love your idea for quick and gentle shading of the layers! Right off, I thought the embossing looks like ripples on the water, and then I see that the die set is called "ripples". This is quite a brilliant use of it! Gorgeous card altogether, Michele!
That is such a great technique. I can't understand why we aren't all using it all the time! That is the perfect background for your pretty peony xx

Gorgeous and GENIUS--the debossed ripples set off your peony beautifully! And the coloring is something I want to try. Sure saves a workout over ink distressing! And I'd come over anytime to help with laundry if you can keep inspiring us!

I knew you'd do something beautiful with that peony, Michele, and what a great idea to make an inked panel to cut the pieces from. The frames make a great embossed background to show off the flower.
That embossing is fabulous, Michele. I wish I had more time. It seems to be sorely lacking these days. Your card is absolutely gorgeous. The colors are amazing!
