Color Hues #118

It seems I've turned the page and become a lover of blue - okay, maybe it's the smokey hue of this week's picks at Color Hues #118:

Before I share my card made for the challenge, let me show you how often this blue has shown up in my Christmas card-making lately:

And one more for Color Hues [thanks, Bonnie, for the beautiful reminder this morning!]: here's a closeup first so you can find my little bluebird!

This gorgeous set of stamps from Wplus9 is no longer available
but I will continue to use it because it's so wonderful.
There's a tiny little peek of PTI's Snowflake edger and I have to thank
Bobby once more for this wonderful smokey-blue cardstock from Bazzill
that she nabbed from JoAnn's when they closed shop.  Why its name is
Candy Buttons I cannot explain for the life of me!

Hope you have a great day today - I'll be back in a few with Freshly Made Sketches!
=] Michele

It's amazing how many different sage greens I have in my supplies!
I actually used both of these for my leaves, and both blues for the bird and berries!

Love your love of blue which is opening up my eyes to the color--and I'm loving it! The postage stamps are so sweet as is that little bluebird nestled on the sentiment. Go blue!

Guess that'll teach us not to get negative about certain colors, huh?! Haha! I was definitely in the same boat, but like you, I've come around to the blue family! All 3 cards are BEAUTIFUL Michele and I'm glad I'm not the only one madly making Christmas cards to play catch up! I love that first postage stamp card and LOVE even more the last card with the sweet little blue bird...lovely, lovely card my friend! Thanks so much for sharing all 3 beauties with us at Color Hues!! Hugs. :0)

I too, really loved using these colors! All three of your designs are wonderful Michele! The stampings on the first are so pretty on the postage die cuts and then you get the full effect of that cute couple in the dome on the second - and finally the lovely mistletoe with the bow and berries and sweet little bird! Julia xx

I LOVE all the cards, but this one especially wonderful -- love that bluebird, the beautiful edger and well, everything else! lol Maybe it isn't that you don't like blue, maybe it's the hue of blue AND the use 😉

Yep... that's your watermark on all of that blue LOL!! I agree, it must be that this blue has that grayish look about it. You've used the colors well, Michele. They're all delightful but that first one has me smitten, it's so SWEET!

There is no doubt that the smokey blue colour has class and it relates well to your favourite grey, so now I understand why you have been embracing blue recently. Your cards are wonderful. I especially like that die cut peaking out from under the panel. What a clever design element xx

I love any shade of blue as you can tell by my wardrobe. :) I love this Smokey Blue and your beautiful cards. That couple is so sweet and looks great on both cards (love the postage one). The cute little bluebird looks great on your last card with the blue berries and blue bow.

You have outdone yourself with these colors, Michele! I'm loving these stamps and the bussing couple under the mistletoe! Beautiful mistletoe with blue berries and bow and a sweet bluebird too! Can't wait to see which you shared with us at Color Hues!

WOW, you rocked these colors for sure.

These are the most lovely, soft colors. The blue is divine, and sage green has always been one of my favorites. It's fun how you kept the mistletoe theme throughout, going from cute to beautiful. Keep on breathing life into those retired stamps and let the beauty live on!

I've been a bit MIA to your blog lately. Chalk it up to a lot of traveling this summer. These cards are all absolutely AMAZING! I love your watercoloring and the design of the one for CH is wonderful. Thanks so much for playing and making my color combo look so good!

Looks like you have crossed the blue bridge that is for sure. It is always such a pleasure to see what you have been up to, Michele! Each card is as pretty as the last. The little bird and the bow on your Peace on Earth card are just precious. I say they were the icing on the cake to a wonderful design. Thanks for playing at Color Hues.

Once again you've created three wonderful works of art! I wouldn't have thought to use this color combo for holiday cards, but you've totally convinced me I should give them a try. Thanks for sharing with us at Color Hues! (That little blue bird is darling!)

I agree, if it's the right shade of blue... and it's as dreamy as this, then I love blue too!
