Sorry about intruding into your day again, but I was on a Christmas card making roll yesterday and one was designed with the current Freshly Made Sketches #680 in mind...
Narelle used some lovely, patterned paper for her DT card. You KNOW I have a bit of it to use up myself... here is my first play:
This one features some lovely paper from HoneyBee's Log Cabin collection. I attempted
to capture its colors with ink though I wasn't completely happy with my inking, this cute little bird from the Spellbinders' Christmas Bird Poinsettia was fun to arrange!
In the end, my CAS-loving-heart was just not convinced! When in doubt, don't throw it out - start again! [Besides, one of my seniors will love it just as is!]
The base was cut using Waffle Flower Crafts Micro Grid Panel 2 coverplate.
This green panel was the leftover, inner panel of PB's Double Frames - embossed
with Simon Hurley for Spellbinders' Bark EF.
That's more like it! Just like that I have a second card for the
Christmas Kickstart Challenge #97 Don't you love this pink Poinsettia?

That little bird is just so cute! I love what you did with the die set, and I think the colors (beautiful) are a great match. Your second card is absolutely lovely with more pretty colors, and the texture I love so much in a card. Still, you've got me looking at the die set 'cause the bird drew me in. I'm hopeless.
I LOVE these cards, so beautiful, that bird is just the cutest and the entire design is gorgeous, the 2nd card is just as beautiful too, you make the most fabulous cards I swear!!
Your paper pieced card is quite eyecatching. And, I am loving that poinsettia.
That bird is so cute and I think your inking matched the colors perfectly. I love your poinsettia card - it is beautiful. TFS
Your little bird looks darling in his hat all nestled into the pine and holly! I don't think I've ever seen the micro grid panel, it's cool and your peachy poinsettia is pretty!
That sweet little birdie with his stocking cap in the first card is SOOOO pretty Michele and he fits in with the dsp perfectly! Your 2nd card is CAS perfection and not only seniors would love it!! That pink Poinsettia is gorgeous my friend!! And YAY for 2 more for the Christmas stash!! Hugs. :0)
Love them both! The birdie is singing beautifully to me. Leave it to you to make others happy!
Your bird card has such wonderful elements, Michele. Your greenery looks like the patterned paper and the knit panel is so cozy. Yes, I love pink poinsettias and it pops against that dark green. Thanks for sharing that one with us at Christmas Kickstart.
What a pretty arrangement for this sweet bird to perch on, Michele!, I love how you picked up the colors from the paper! And that sweet pink poinsettia makes my CAS loving heart beat a bit faster! Two more for the Christmas box.
Love, love, love both cards! Lovely colors, textures and beautiful details, Michele
Christmas... you go GF! these are both divine, I do have to say that little squared background has got me intrigued (I may as well just admit it, I WANT it lol.)
Michelle, they are both ah-mazing... but you know that second CAS one stole my heart! I love the texture in the background, the soft muted colors - heck.. I just love it all!
hugs
