The Paper Players #733 a color challenge!

The Paper Players #733 and Stef's gorgeous colors came in handy when a new set arrived from the latest release from Alex Syberia Designs.  I was the luckiest to have won a gift certificate and I put it to use [and then some] very quickly!

Here are Stef's colors:

The premier outing for ASD's Charming Floral background press plate
was pressed into cotton card with NO INK for the first pressing!  I then used inks in Stef's colors to color the florals using the coordinating stencils:

Thanks so much, Stef!

I'm always happy to share my inks and I'll tell you that I used a water brush and TSM's Sea Glass ink to watercolor the background.  Concord & 9th's Just Sayings dies were used for this sweet sentiment for my granddaughter's birthday in May - a smattering of sequins seemed appropriate for the occasion.

I LOved how this turned out so much that I had to make another... you know my rule by now:  why make just one?  I can't wait to press it again as intended with the background inking, too!

Flower: SB Woodland Tales floral die but the floral center is from a different SB die set
to mimic those on the press plate.
Sentiment: PFS Magnolias stamp set

There is just something about these muted colors that make my grey-loving heart happy!

Thanks for all the congratulations on my new design team position!  I'm still in the someone pinch me frame of mind!

The all over blossoms are so delightful and lovely, Michele. While I like the first one, it's the white flowers that remind me of daisies that have my heart.

Wow, wow, wow, Michele! Both cards are just so beautiful, they showcase how fantastic the betterpress plates can be. I love how you achieved a no-line look and just colored the flowers with the stencils. Stunning! Thank you for showcasing my Paper Players color challenge so beautifully, always a treat to see you in the gallery!

WOW! I'm trying to hold back from ordering this plate and stencil, Michele! Two gorgeous cards using them. I especially love the second card and how you mixed different companies to make it awesome! Isn't it nice to see that differences can play beautifully together. You just gave me a reason to smile today. Thank you. XOXO

These are both so beautiful Michele - I see why you would like the second one, but the first one in our PP colours is hands down my favourite - so pretty! And I love the sentiment die cut too!! These are both divine! I was only just saying how I don't use my letterpress 'technique' with the betterpress as much as I thought I would. Though, I use the BetterPress all the time, just not with the cotton paper.... I MUST get that paper out again, you have inspired me to add that EXTRA touch of elegance!

Love both of these, but of course - - - love the PURPLE! I saw that ASD press plate and was so tempted but put it on a wait list. You've done it overwhelming gorgeous justice. XX
