If any of you have an Instagram account, you may have crossed paths with a few wonderful birders at some point. I follow many who are absolutely phenomenal photographers and videographers. @putman_and_robin is one of those! His adorable videos of the most wonderful European Robin friends Bob, Bobette, and Pip are worth a watch or twenty!
Here is my homage to 'Bob!' Maybe his older, slightly 'more fancy' sister?
I'm a bit sad today as one of our darling Tree Swallows had a
window strike - she rallied but we couldn't get her to fly.
We handed her off to a licensed rehabilitator with prayers.
Her mate is still looking for her. SO sad.
I needed the joy that Bob brings me! Hope you stop by for a look-see!

This is gorgeous. Love the colours, how you have made the scene with those dies and the grey background. All so pretty xx
Oh, I LIKE this one! Every little detail is extra pretty; especially those lacy bits in the background. So sorry to hear about the injured feathered friend of yours... and her mate :(
Off to check out Bob!
Oh no! I hope she will be okay, I keep my light curtains shut as much as possible for the same reason, we have a TON of birds around here and at the moment they are going bezerk in the tree out the front, it's laden with bright big orange blooms (and the bats love it at night too lol). Sending hugs!
It's so sad when they fly into a window. I hope she will be okay. Bob's sister is beautiful and her plumage is extra nice against the lacy die cut and pretty blossoms that look a bit like strawberry blooms. I hope she makes you feel less sad. She made me smile.
Awesome bird card. I popped over - great inspiration too 😀
Bob's sister is beautiful Michele, and I love all the die cut foliage behind her too! Sweet, sweet card! And I'm sorry to hear about the window incident today...with a southern facing slider, we have "accidents" all the time and not all survive. I keep hoping Isaiah's fingerprints that are all over the slider will help the poor birdies see a bit better this year...we shall see. Hugs. :0)
Oh no, it’s so sad when that happens, hope the little bird recovers. We love robins here as well. Do you have the same saying as us that when you see a Robin it’s a lost love one nearby to you still?
It’s a beautiful bird card Michele, such detail.
Beautiful! Not only is she more fancy, but her fanciful, lacy leaves behind her know how to dress up a card.
What a gorgeous card, Michele! So elegant. I hope the tree swallow comes through okay. That is really sad.
Just went to Bob's IG... I am so curious now. Need to do a deep dive. I love what he said about the dining table, I can only imagine the rest of the story. YOUR CARD IS GORGEOUS. I think you need to send it to Bob! Love the way you used that gorgeous Altenew lace die in the background. Every detail of this card is so special. LOVE IT!
Love your bird card, Michele! I do enjoy watching those videos and I agree, they bring lots of joy! Hope your little fella just needs some r & r.
Bob's sister is special and stunning and your card is absolutely beautiful. It brings to mind the peacefulness of the garden on a windless day. Love those neutrals with just a pop of color. Can't say enough. I'm so sorry about the swallow. It hurts my heart whenever that happens here. You're fortunate to have someone in your area to take it to.
Beautiful homage to Bob. Your card is so pretty. Love the colors of the bird and lovely background. TFS Sorry to hear about your Tree Swallow hitting the window.
Oops! I think I referred to her as a "he" on IG! I should have visited here first. Here's hoping that your swallow friend recuperates, too!
This is so stunning Michele! I will have to tell the Hubs about that IG account, he is a big bird lover. I do hope the swallow recuperates and they bring her back to her mate.
This is beautifully done - hope your feathered friend recovers!
Darling composition.
