Santa must have thought I had enough already, so I only got one new PB set for Christmas - wait until Cupid sees my Valentines' list!
The second image included in their Growing Love set is equally as darling and perfect for Jill's Sketch #2 from her new series at PB&J. I did take a few liberties with it - tell me if I took it too far? Here is Jill's Sketch...
However, you should really do yourself a favor and watch the video - you'll see
how brilliantly Jill uses her own Sketch differently!
Ready for my card? Here's a closeup...
Frame - check! Interest in the background - check! Image off the edge - check!
Then I ran out of room within the rectangle for the sentiment - boo!
But don't you love the heart-snippings from his topiary clippings?
Of course there had to be seconds! I really went off the grid here - but look closely and you'll see that Sketch!
While searching for a similar cover die as Jill used, I came across this HoneyBee plate and tried to make it work as a background... alas, it just didn't make me happy there. The answer? Make it the frame which was easy using another of those EH rectangle dies to cut a panel AND the opening in the cover panel I had cut. Plus, now you can see where all those teensy hearts come from! wink. I found just enough space for my sentiment at the top this time. It comes from The Stamp Market's Kindness Matters set.
Jill encourages us to use what we have and though I have a wish list a yard long, I'm being very mindful of all that I have!
I'll be sharing one of these with the gals at Penny Black Saturday Challenge sans the optional Winter twist - I've had enough of cold for a while!
Have a wonderful day!

Love, love, love your watercoloring, Michele! And you did Jill proud with these sketches! Those little cut out hearts make perfect embellishments. I love their whimsical shapes. I'm excited to see that we get a list for Valentine's Day!
You really are getting good at watercolouring. These are so cute and I love how you have created the frame on the second one xx
Off grid or on grid, you are always an inspiration my friend, these are ADORABLE!

Super duper cuties for sure. I just love these images and their frames and backgrounds are perfect! So cute!
Both cards are so adorable Michele. Love the way you've framed both cards. And those hearts sure came in handy that are leftover from your second frame. xx
Oh my goodness, they are just the sweetest pair! Both of these are darling, Michele. Terrific backgrounds, coloring and even a polka dot flower pot!

You and Penny Black play together so well! I mentioned on IG that I just love how you repurposed the heart frame and I would call this card a winner!
Oh Michele, these are so delightful and charming. I started watching this series and you and Jill sure make it look easy! Please keep sharing. I love seeing your creativity in action!
I love watching Jill's videos and it's double the goodness to see your two cards inspired by her sketch. These kids are adorable and sweet and your watercoloring is top notch! You pulled both cards together brilliantly using your stash. Such fun, Michele!
Darling! Anything done by 1) you, with 2) PB images and 3) Jill's sketches -- who could ask for more?!
Sorry it's been taking me so long to comment...this virus has really kicked my tail and I still don't feel great! Absolutely 0 energy to do anything but sleep! I've had enough!!! But anyway, both your cards are absolutely ADORABLE!! Colored perfectly and framed perfectly too! You sure do have a way with PB my friend!! Hugs. :0)
Your little gardeners are adorable, Michele. The coloring is spot on and so is the sketch. I've been watching the videos but I don't have a plethora of PB stamps. I take that back. I do have a lot but smaller ones that don't work for the sketches.
This sketch is wonderful - you've done so many wonderful things with it. This image is so adorable and so welcome in all of this cold we are having. I love both frames and how different the same final projects look. Love that STAMPlorations background and the partial coloring on the heart frame too.
Beautiful cards as always ,your watercolouring and placement is sheer perfection with the addition of embossing you really know how to bring these stamps alive.
