Svitlana is our host this month for Altenew's September 2023 Inspiration Challenge and you seriously MUST see the photo above up close and personally - can you imagine having such gorgeous Halloween decorations gracing your mantle??
I found her colors among two of Altenew's paper collections. For the reds to oranges: Alcohol Ink Background Paper Pack, and for the yellow: Reflections paper pack.
You all know by now that I love this little fancy frame that came with that Reflections paper crafting collection when it released. I've gifted it many times over - in fact, I think I may have wiped out their supply! Here, I've snipped two in half and flipped and glued it again and again to create a fun background for my Halloween roses [actually Altenew's Bamboo Roses]. A little trick as they're stamped onto the patterned paper and cut with the matching dies.

Isn't this about the creepiest [and I mean that in a GOOD way] card I've ever made??

Win or lose, I had a blast making this card - and I have a feeling Svitlana will appreciate it. With that I'll head over to their gallery and treat them to this card!

This is fabulous, Michele. Puts me in mind of a children's book I used to love to read to the littles in the library at this time of year: Moondog. It's hose wonderful black frames and the roses... Conjured up a sweet memory for me.

Morticia would love it, Michele, and so do I. That red paper is fantastic and can be creepy in a bloody sort of way if you think about it.

Such a moody card whatever that means to you but to me it evokes warm feelings of chocolate and log fires and marshmallows (don't ask me why) but I love it.

What a fun and creepy card Michele! I love it!!! The alcohol inked panel is perfect for a Halloween card, love the frames the way you did them, very Halloweeny and the roses...well they both look like they have an eyeball in the center of each one. What a great choice of stamp for Halloween roses, Michele! The style of the image is perfect for adding a little creepy (in a good way, of course) feeling! Your creativity shines through as you stamped roses on the patterned paper, and arranged the black fancy frames! This card has a unique style compared to your others, and I love it just as much!
