I've watched a few of the crafty sessions shared at the Stress-free Card Making Summit! My good friend Therese made a pop-up card using my favorite Altenew Poinsettia die - how could I resist making one, too?
Therese shared a simple way to color block a card base... and how to POP-up a
Poinsettia when the card is opened...
and how to use patterned paper to cut the Poinsettia for fun!
I've done this many many times - today I used all painted woodgrain papers!
So much fun 'homework' to do - I'd better get it done!

All patterned paper is from Craft Consortium: Wood Textures, and Grunge - Dark Tones.
Cardstock is from Concord & 9th: Pebble and Lemongrass

Love it, what a great choice of paper. I think I missed Therese's video. Time ran out! xx
LOVE everything about this card Michele, it's like mine but only better!! I am so very happy that you were inspired by my design... and it's a Poinsettia, what could be better (wink).
I am so in love with this card! I think I’m going to need you to tell me more about it.
Great textures, colors and poinsettia -- love the color block and pop-up flower, very interesting!
I love everything about this, Michele. That woodgrain background is so wonderful... the colors in it are fantastic and the blues/grays of the poinsettia and the graan are perfect compliments. Fabulous make.
Wow, is this ever pretty, Michele. Love the use of the woodgrain papers. So happy you had such a great time. It shows!
I need to check this out. What a beautiful card! I have this poinsettia die too, thanks to you. :-)
How fun!! Thanks for sharing.
Fabulous!
Love this card and those papers, Michele. I can see the other cut piece from the front on the inside. Fabulous card design and paper/color choices. Gorgeous poinsettia. Might have to do some shopping after we finally move into our new location later in October!!
Oh my goodness, is this ever fabulous! Beautifully done, Michele!
This is striking with the pop of yellow and woodgrain!
These are fabulous! The non-traditional colours really work so well with this poinsettia.
These poinsettia cards are so unique and gorgeous, Michele! The color-blocked background is awesome, and I love the non-traditional colors you've used for the poinsettias! Your designs are awesome and the use of the painted woodgrain papers adds an extra layer of charm!
Hideko xx
This was a great summit wasn't it Michele?!! I love your friend's tutorial, although I'm not one for making pop up cards. This color blocking is so popular right not and it's fun as is your pop up poinsettia card! I love this and love the wood papers you used! Your poinsettia is pretty amazing as well. Well done with the pop up part too, Therese made it look pretty simple to do! Hugs, Brenda
