My order from Doodlebugs had just arrived and inside was a very sweet die set from Concord & 9th called Friendly Florals. Out came some patterned paper and colored cardstock and we were right back in craft-mode!
Here is the card I made with Bobby:
I just love getting those 'old' embossing folders out - this one was from Darice and I'm sure I picked it up at JoAnn's! The pretty purple paper was a gift from a sweet California friend, curry and green paper from The Stamp Market, gingham from HoneyBee. A few enamel dots from Altenew and voila!
Of course, you'll love what Bobby did with hers - go see it here!
Now! It can't be Doodlebugs Friday without sending you over to

Now I'm really jealous that I didn't get to play with this set...how FUN!!! I absolutely LOVE both cards Michele...all the layers and textures are FABULOUS! Beautiful, BEAUTIFUL cards my friend, and I'm glad to hear there's more fish in the freezer! Hugs. :0)
:)
I am sure you both had a wonderful time playing and creating together! The embossing folder on your card is AMAZING! Makes for a fabulous background for that equally fabulous flower. Such pretty colors....of course, you know I love gingham! And I can't wait to see that other gingham creation you made! Hopping over to Doodle Bug right now!
Oh those blooms are fabulous. I may have to shop! Glad you had a good and productive time playing cards. Off to see bobbie's and the d-bug post.
Oh, I'm loving that embossed weave background and the lovely oval you used to back your beautiful florals - the colors you chose are so pretty! I envy you your crafty time with friends! xx
Thanks so much for having me, Michele. The fish was fantastic and I enjoyed the talks. We even got an entire card completed. Time usually goes so fast unless you want to get together again but it will be summer before we know it.
Two fab cards, Michele! I'm so glad you could get together with Bobby and it looks like you had a lot of fun! Two gorgeous cards! I love the shades of lavender and yellow with your black eyed Susans! Such a versatile die! And your gingham berries are a delight!
Just came over from Bobby's blog. I love your take on the card as well as hers. This is beautiful, fabulous colors and textures. So stinkin' cute!!
How fun that you and Bobby had a play date! Another I wish I could have been at too! CUTE card, love what the embossed background adds to those fun layers! Off to visit with Bobby and to check out your Doodlebugs card ;)
Yay for you and your friend. Did you sleep at all or were you giggly and chatty all night? Inquiring minds want to know. LOL Your card is beautiful. What a pretty purple and that embossing folder looks so fun! You have a knack for getting such crisp impressions. Love every detail on this card! Thanks so much for sharing!
Pretty pretty! That's a favorite old embossing folder in my stamp room as well. Always looks great. Both cards are fun and fabulous. New goodies in the mail are the the best. Almost as good as having a friend over for crafting, eating, and talking till you're hoarse. I'll be spending the day with a friend on Tuesday. There will be all of the aforementioned.
How fun that you and Bobby got some time together to craft, eat, and chat! Sorry to hear Marcia couldn't make it.
This is a pretty die-cut version of Black-eyed Susan! Love the wonderful combination of dimension, texture, and pattern!
Off to Bobby's blog and DB website!
Hideko xx
Such lovely colours and textures on this one. You have outdone yourself. Truly fabulous xx
Hmmmm... I could have sworn I commented on these beauties... I love these cards, and I love that you and Bobby were able to play together. I love the colors, the coneflowers and the gingham... they all go so beautifully together. Add that fabulous embossed background and you have a winner winner chicken dinner!
Sounds and looks like you had a FUN time! How wonderful that you were able to craft together, Yay!!
I absolutely love your cards Michele. The sweet flower and the pretty gingham and winners in my books!
Love 'em both (you know I love these dies ;) ) and I'm so glad you could have such a fun playdate!
The curry and pretty purple are fabulous together….notice I said pretty purple because some purples are too scary for me! This is delightful!
Totally gorgeous! These purple flowers are so sweet and go so well with the sentiment.
