Then you turn yourself around...

No, I'm not doing the hokey-pokey but I have been a little bit slowpoke-y about sharing a fun day I had recently with Concord & 9th's latest Turnabout:  Mod Turnabout Stamp!

I'll be totally honest, before I bought their Jig, I had a LOT of trouble lining up these stamps - but they are SO cute!  I'm so grateful C&9th conquered the challenge!

Because I didn't want to cover one little bit of this fun pattern, I chose to do some simple stamping with that sweet little snail-mail character.  Hope you like them!

I'm waiting on the new Concord & 9th inks to be back in stock at Doodlebugs -
these were done with other inks that I love.

I love the look achieved by just stamping a few of the turns-
or stamping more than one turn in the same ink!

I just love having a little fun with his snail-trail!

A little life share:  when my Doodlebugs Friday post hits tomorrow, Tom and I will be on the ferry boat to Mackinac Island!  Any Somewhere in Time fans out there??  It was filmed on Mackinac!  It's a favorite for sure - please do yourself a favor and watch it - how can you go wrong with Jane Seymour and Christopher Reeves?

It's hard to imagine that this Michigander hasn't ever stepped foot on her Island before - I can't wait to step back in time, as there are no motor vehicles allowed on the Island!   What a wonderful place to celebrate our 28th anniversary!

Doodlebugs Friday!

I've gotten my Prismacolor pencils out recently and rediscovered how relaxing they can be - and my arm is getting adjusted to it, too!

Here is the gorgeous image I'll be coloring - from Concord & 9th: Blended Petals - I stamped it onto a panel of Bristol paper on the most 'toothy' side.

I'm pretty happy with the results - hope you'll stop over at the
Doodlebugs Blog to see the finished project!
Thanks so much!

Doodlebugs Friday!

Oh my goodness, I am so excited to share my card with you today!

It has been far too long since I used my some of my favorite flowers... can
you guess which flower it is?
Here's a hint:  I carried them down the aisle!

Okay, so they weren't purple - but any color* will do just fine any other day!
Please drop by the Doodlebugs Blog for a better look! thank you!

Just us Girls - #668 CAS + Coloring

It is always such fun to challenge myself to a truly CAS card while adding a smidge of coloring.  I'm currently experiencing the bluest skies and sunshine - you know what they say:  make snails while the sun shines!!  wait.  that might have been me.

I have put a ton of effort into creating a snail trail in the past.  Today, using the stamp included in this darling Concord & 9th Snail Mail set, I used Holographic embossing powder and think it's my best effort to date.  Here's a closer up...

Ta DA!  CAS and a little bit of coloring!

Doodlebugs Friday - with a Friend!

I recently had a play day/sleepover with my friend Bobby!  It had been two years since we'd seen each other so you can imagine how fun it was!  Sadly, Marcia wasn't able to make it - but there will be a 'makeup' playday soon, my friend [and there are plenty more bluegill in the freezer!]

My order from Doodlebugs had just arrived and inside was a very sweet die set from Concord & 9th called Friendly Florals.   Out came some patterned paper and colored cardstock and we were right back in craft-mode!

Here is the card I made with Bobby:

I just love getting those 'old' embossing folders out - this one was from Darice and I'm sure I picked it up at JoAnn's!  The pretty purple paper was a gift from a sweet California friend, curry and green paper from The Stamp Market, gingham from HoneyBee. A few enamel dots from Altenew and voila!
Of course, you'll love what Bobby did with hers - go see it here!

Now!  It can't be Doodlebugs Friday without sending you over to
the Doodlebugs Blog, right?  Here's my sneaky peek:

Thanks so much for coming, Bobby! x
