There were a few goodies in the last MFT June release that I just couldn't say no to … it's hard isn't it? Until our Lake Michigan water levels go back to normal, this might be the only beach-going I will do this year!
Laura Dovalo created the most amazing 'pool water' with a stencil offered in the newest release! I just had to see if there was a stencil in my stash that would work - you'll tell me if it worked, okay?
It isn't quite as perfect as Laura's but I like it!! I used MFT's Sketch Challenge #497 as a guide - so I'll toss this into their 'pool!'

It totally works, Michele! It looks like the sun is shining on the ripples in the water! I'm glad these wise critters have an umbrella to shade them from that hot sun!
It sure did work Michele and a fabulous effect. Great take on the sketch and what an adorable little 'beach' scene x.....Super cute x.
that stencil definitely looks like a bright shiney clean pool. One of those modern ones that has grass and sand to make it more beach like. Fabulous card Michele.
I've just made a card with this sketch and recently bought the stamp set you've used , love what you've done with it , super cute. Jane x
Yep, definitely works, Michele ... your pool looks as though it's glistening in the warm sunshine ... those little critters on their beach are so sweet with it! Hugs, Anita :)
Absolutely it worked...even like it better than Laura's. And those sandy little critters work just as well. Very clever.
Love it so much
love it. Yes, the background definitely worked. It is great how you have offset the images as it adds interest. Love the little scene xx
Yes, who would've thought that this stencil could do this, you totally worked your magic here my friend ps good luck with the beach trips... my hubby is currently at the beach early morning fishing!
It looks like glimmery shimmery water reflections to me... it worked! This is adorable Michele. Sure would love to do another Lake Michigan beach walk with you ;)
I think your water looks great, Michele...just has more bubbles:-) Love your sweet critters playing in the sand and being safe under the umbrella shade:-) TFS my friend. Love and Hugs..Nancy
Wow Michele, your water looks just like my pool water photo's!!! So you definitely nailed it with the stencil you used. I love this sweet card! A day at the beach, just what the doctor ordered! Is the lake water down Michele? It seems to be feast or famine when it comes to rain. We either get all rain or don't get any. The weather just keeps getting crazier and crazier. Come to the pool, you can relax on my deck and in the pool. lol Hugs, Brenda
Uhhh YES! Your scene is adorable, and the water is so inviting, I wish I were there :o)
Looks perfect to me and I love it Michele!!! That stencil worked beautifully and your little critters look ready for a fun beach day! Cute, CUTE card!! Hugs. :0)
