The first stamping of this little tulip [the smallest from Altenew Exotic Tulips] was dipped into tattered rose DOX and spritzed with a mist of water before stamping onto my Neenah #110 card stock - the details stamps were used with the same ink, but I left out the outline stamp from the set. Here's little closeup for you...
Peeled paint DOX was used in the exact same method for the stems, and one leaf, and a few splatters.
The Flower Challenge is looking for a few Spring flowers - or Autumn ones if you live in the Southern Hemisphere - so I'll send these over to them … in yellow - scattered straw DOX, to be exact!
Hope these Spring tulips might brighten your day as they did mine! I've not been in a very creative state of mind - creating this paper garden did help a bit! Be safe, and well!
so happy for this honor for the pinks!!
Oh Michele these are both SO pretty! I love the simplicity of both cards too. Your Tattered Rose tulips are just lovely and I'm loving the splatters too! And of course yellow being my favorite color, how could I not smile at your 2nd card?! Hang in there my friend and we'll get through these trying days...together!! Hugs. :0)
Gorgeous, Michele! I love the combination of Worn Lipstick and Peeled Paint! Your tulips have lifted my spirits 110%!
CAS Perfection! Whether you think your mojo's slipped on not, I think it's trickling back it. Both cards are lovely.
I love tulips too! Your cards are gorgeous. Our tulips have come up again and are white, pink and pink and white, Jo x
I do love a tulip, such a sign of spring. These turned out lovely.
Oh they are gorgeous!! I love the last one... so beautiful... I'm sending cyber hugs your way and hoping that all will soon be well.
Your tulip cards are simply stunning Michele. Beautifully CAS and the colored speckles are the perfect finishing touch. I too have been struggling a bit to keep creating. I'll be glad when all this is over and we can resume a normal life of freedom again. Stay well my friend.
so beautiful...they have a look of purity as well, very elegant.
My tulips are only about 4 inches out of the ground. Can't wait to see their appearance, it seems to brighten up everything.
hope you are well and safe.
These are gorgeous....and in MY favorite color!!
Your tulip garden is beautiful, Michele! I love how you've layered the stamps using the same colors for both layers. I think it gives a more realistic look. I can't decide if I like the pink ones best or the yellow. Both are lovely and uplifting and so are the sentiments!
What a gorgeous little garden! Thanks so much for cultivating it for us, my friend. Hope your creative juices start flowing! Hugs!
I love the softness the spritzing gives, Michele. I had to jump right in and try it for myself. I think I like your tulip stamp better than mine and I didn't have Tea Rose but it worked beautifully with Seedless Preserves for a dark tulip.
And thank you for sharing your card with us at The Flower Challenge.
Love your DOX tulips, and I think your creativity is fine! Perk up, Spring is coming!!!
Be still my CAS heart! These are simply elegant!
Two beautiful tulip cards Michele! Love that soft pink blooms with the olive-y green leaves. Gorgeous colour combo! Fabulous sentiment to finish off. Beautifully CAS for both your first and second cards. The yellow is so happy. Love the splatter detail. xx
Well hello sunshine! I love the way you brightened my day with these gorgeous tulips, Michele ... one of my favourite blooms too, in any colour ... delicious with the drift of splatter on both cards! Hugs, Anita :)
Spring prettiness! I love the color and the softness of your first tulips, but the bright yellow is a welcome sight too. Take care, we'll get through this XO
YOu have certainly brightened my day with your beautiful creations!
Be still my heart! Absolutely gorgeous tulips, Michele! I think the tulips are such a lovely focal point and I love your CAS design on both cards! Thanks so much for brightening my day!!!
Gorgeous tulips. I love them too...
I love these beautiful tulips, Michele! They do bring spring to blogland. The layered tattered rose ones are so soft and delicate. The fine spatters are just perfect to add interest to the white background.
I never thought of using scattered straw for coloring something yellow. Thanks for the reminder. Love the wonderful shades of yellow.
Your 'grown' pink tulips are so pretty and your card is CAS perfection Michele x. Love the splats and the Dox on your second beautiful card too x.
Two lovely tulip designs Michele! Both colors used are so pretty and the splatter adds great texture to the look! thanks for sharing with us at CAS Watercolor this month! xx
