CAS Watercolour and The Flower Challenge

It appears Spring has sprung around blogland!  Such a welcomed sight, too!  I have always loved tulips - in any color, or no color at all - yes, white are my favorites!  But today I've 'grown' some pink ones for the CAS Watercolour Challenge

The first stamping of this little tulip [the smallest from Altenew Exotic Tulips] was dipped into tattered rose DOX and spritzed with a mist of water before stamping onto my Neenah #110 card stock - the details stamps were used with the same ink, but I left out the outline stamp from the set.  Here's little closeup for you...

Peeled paint DOX was used in the exact same method for the stems, and one leaf, and a few splatters.

The Flower Challenge is looking for a few Spring flowers - or Autumn ones if you live in the Southern Hemisphere - so I'll send these over to them … in yellow - scattered straw DOX, to be exact!

Hope these Spring tulips might brighten your day as they did mine!  I've not been in a very creative state of mind - creating this paper garden did help a bit!  Be safe, and well!

=]  Michele

so happy for this honor for the pinks!!

And of course yellow being my favorite color, how could I not smile at your 2nd card?! Hang in there my friend and we'll get through these trying days...together!! Hugs. :0)

Your tulip cards are simply stunning Michele. Beautifully CAS and the colored speckles are the perfect finishing touch. I too have been struggling a bit to keep creating. I'll be glad when all this is over and we can resume a normal life of freedom again. Stay well my friend.

so beautiful...they have a look of purity as well, very elegant.
My tulips are only about 4 inches out of the ground. Can't wait to see their appearance, it seems to brighten up everything.
hope you are well and safe.

Your tulip garden is beautiful, Michele! I love how you've layered the stamps using the same colors for both layers. I think it gives a more realistic look. I can't decide if I like the pink ones best or the yellow. Both are lovely and uplifting and so are the sentiments!

I love the softness the spritzing gives, Michele. I had to jump right in and try it for myself. I think I like your tulip stamp better than mine and I didn't have Tea Rose but it worked beautifully with Seedless Preserves for a dark tulip.

I love these beautiful tulips, Michele! They do bring spring to blogland. The layered tattered rose ones are so soft and delicate. The fine spatters are just perfect to add interest to the white background.
I never thought of using scattered straw for coloring something yellow. Thanks for the reminder. Love the wonderful shades of yellow.
