I was moved by this gorgeous graphic, by an early morning 'chat', and a second cuppa with amy via email today!

Cheers to Second Cups, my friend!  For the Fall/Winter Hop:

Of course, by now, I've finished the entire pot … but not while wearing my mittens!

Did anyone really think I could resist
this fabulous graphic??  It's that time again!

I even bought a new cup for the occasion, which prompted a little crafty time! and my card design!!

Ready.  set.  go...

I thought about free-wheeling that design, but remembered just the perfect set to add a Winter design instead:

Thanks, amy… you make coffee, and card making,
so much fun!!  There may be 'refills!'

Have fun hopping, and making, my friends!

Hello, my friends!  It's Essentials by Ellen release day on Sunday December 9th... but we've been given the ok to sneak-peek a bit on Instagram.  you know I'm either way too sneaky, or can't help but show the whole darned card - this is one of those whole-enchilada days!  and I know you don't all DO Instagram!

High Five stamps, and dies - available 12/9!

Does anyone else remember red wax lips?  I'm pretty sure a certain M. Jagger does!

I'll be sharing more on Thursday … see you then?

Day 4 of Ellen's 12 Tags of Christmas - with a Feminine Twist!

Hello my friends!  Here we are at Day 4! of Ellen's 12 Tags of Christmas with a Feminine Twist! Be sure to read to the end... there are prizes, my friends!!!

I have the pleasure of teaming up with the fabulous Justine Hovey!  We chose to use Pretty Pink Posh products on our tags, using heat embossing and non-traditional colors!

There is one of the PPP sets that really stole my heart this year:  Flourishing Fuchsias and coordinating dies.  Think that can't work for Christmas?  Think again!

I've heat embossed just the leaves in white onto TH water color card stock, and colored them with Distress Inks:  Milled Lavender, and Shabby Shutters - could that lavender be more feminine?  okay, the pearls don't hurt, do they?

How about a little closeup?  Can you see the splash of
Gansai Tambi White Gold from their Starry Colors set?
Doesn't it look wonderful
with the silver heat embossed sentiment from

Now how can you make a tag without a little sentiment?  I wrote my own on my PC and printed it strategically
so it can be cut with a die - this favorite from
PPP Decorative Tag no. 1 works the charm!

Now, please join me as I visit Justine?  I cannot wait to see her heat embossed, non-traditional-color tag!

Wait! Before you go... I did mention prizes, didn't I? Ellen Hutson will be giving away twelve $25 gift certificates and one $150 gift certificate to the shop. Comments left at the EH blog, and tags made for our challenge make YOU eligible to win!   so. one more word GO!!

EBE Conductor of Light!

The Ellen Hutson team had such a great time celebrating Ellen's 12 anniversary... thanks to all of you who hopped, visited, and sent Ellen messages!

Today, I took a moment to play with one of  the exclusive Conductor of Light!  It was the Anniversary gift-with-purchase during Ellen's anniversary week ... hope you got yours!  If you read my 'story' you'll now know where I find lots of inspiration... today, C&B worked its charm!

I stamped those vintage shaped bulbs - all the rage right now! Copic-colored them as close as I could to those pretty baubles in the photo, I then gave them a bit of shine, and glitter with a Nuvo Aqua Shimmer pen, and Glossy Accents.  All strung with my Coats Metallic silver thread - perfect!

I sure wish you were here to see the 'snowy' paper I created with Elizabeth Craft double sided adhesive paper, and Warm Diamond Microfine Glitter!

My sentiment comes from Julie's Pure Magic.

I'll rename it Conductor of Christmas Light just for today … 'tis the Season!

Guest Designer for CAS Watercolour Challenge

I was so honored recently by those sweet ladies over at the CAS Watercolour Challenge … thank you for inviting me to be your Guest Designer!  Their theme for December could not be more appropriate!

You won't mind if I bring out this sweet little Altenew stamp that I adore, will you?  I mean who wouldn't love to receive flowers as a thank you?  and how could I resist adding a bit of glamour, too?

Distress inks are a my favorite inks to watercolor with.  Here are those I've used today:

Thank you, Bonnie & Loll for this honor!  and to all of you kind folks who drop by for a visit?  This one's for all of you:

Easy as ABC - Day 6

Final day of this fabulous class... with the best teacher, evah!  Therese, I learn something with every video you post … that six days of class went by too quickly... sorry about another late assignment!

Okay... Day 6 involved Therese creating a darling card for Scott using alpha stamps, and the sweetest little fox.  Sadly I don't have any Altenew alpha stamps, or critters, but I wasn't sad to use those Inline Alpha dies again!

First of all, I do love grey hair, just not on MY head... but this birthday-cake-baking granny didn't want to compete with her chocolate cake!  and, I ask you, what boy wouldn't like to see his name in balloons?

Thank you, Therese, and Altenew for a wonderful class!
