Everything green in my view is 'leftover' - you know: that not so pretty green of old grass? So I took my card-cue from the bottom left corner of Double D's March 2023 - Green Challenge mood board:
That fabulous green door brought me right back to my very early childhood when I would sneak into the living room to watch my teenaged siblings 'sock hopping' with their friends to Green Door! Perhaps you'll remember it?
When one doesn't have a door die, she creates one from a window die!
When she can't find the right sentiment, she creates one in Word and adds the
appropriate stamp for a perfect finish!
Mama Elephant's Peek a Frame; Brick Layer die from The Greetery; texture compliments of
SU Tasteful Textile; front sentiment and MISS YOU from Altenew's Coral Sunset;
a few bits of that wonderful matte gold paper; and a few Spellbinders Sealed Wildflowers

I love your card, it's just so striking! I do remember Green Doors - an oldie but goodie!
What a lovely spring door! Love the bricks in each corner and the flowing flowers. I'm so ready to see this kind of scene outside my door as well.
Clever you...never would have thought of using a window die to make a door!! Will definitely have to remember that one!! Love all the sweet touches you've added to this scene and the sentiment (inside and out!) too! I too am ready for it to look like this outside my front door too! Maybe a few geraniums and all my lovely hostas...YES PLEASE!!! Hugs. :0)
Dang, that little bit of brick is just perfect on the textured background. Love that! And I never would have guessed that your door is actually a window. You went to great creative lengths to play along and it's a real pleasure to spot your card in the Double D gallery. Thanks, Michele!
Do you know, I really like this. It is so clever and I think it might be the green too. The bricks and flowers are brilliant finishing touches. Wonderful to see those tiny bits of gold paper too xx

Now I won't be able to get that song out of my head lol. LOVE it!!
I love your green door, Michele, and all that texture makes me want to touch it! Love the addition of the white wildflowers! An altogether wonderful card, my friend!
I have a green door and it's always open for you! How fun that you created your door from a window die, it's fabulous. The texture and those wee bricks really licked it up a notch too!
That was a fun song. Catchy and upbeat. I don't think I have ever heard it before. Thanks for sharing the link. As for your card. Brilliant! I think there was a drawing of a green door in the video where you might have drawn a little inspiration for you card. So cool. Love the creativity and textures in your card. Thanks, Michele for delighting once again.
Such a fantastic take on the inspiration photo, Michele! Every detail is just awesome---from your window-turned-door, to the customized sentiment combo, to those brick details, to the dainty flowers!!!! So creative and totally amazing!!!
Really wonderful card...love your green door.
Your green door is fabulous, Michele, and I can't wait to get my hands on that window die. While looking back at some oldies - my cards, not music - I found a door I made using stitched rectangles. That's creativity for you and me.
A great green door -- looks like a party waiting to happen to me! Another awesome card, Michele
Love your take on that wonderful green door in the photo. The detail of the tiny bricks really bumps it up 12 notches. Such a little thing that makes a huge impact. The flowers are the perfect finish. I just love everything about this.
Ok, with my love of 50's music how did I not know about Green Door?!! What a fun song! I can see why your teenage siblings where 'sock hopping to this song! Love, love, love this card! Love how you made a door out of a window die-genius! Love the textures on this card, that brick is so fun in those corners. The hanging down flowers are perfect and so welcoming. But the sentiments are what pulls this all together. Love it! Hugs, Brenda
How clever to make that lovely green door with a window die, Michele! Love the background texture, especially the brick, and your original message inside!
