Orange and green? It couldn't be a more perfect choice for Fall at Color Hues!
I had a little play with another new layering set from Altenew:
Fresh Bloom, and dies.
I love that its layers leave a few white highlights!
The inks I used today are from a set called Goldfish Tails!
This one had an additional layer of brown that may have disqualified it,
but I wanted to share it just the same:
When Fall comes, I turn to these colors naturally - so naturally I had to play along!
Altenew Fresh Bloom combo, Goldfish Tail ink set, Rounded Rectangle frames, Leafy Garden die, and Dotted Swirls cover plate.
Both cards are stunning! I love the framing on the first card with lovely stitched background inside the frame. It's always a pleasure to find one of your beautiful cards in the Color Hues gallery!
Stunning cards, Michele! I love them both and because brown is a neutral, it's allowed. ;) Thank you so much for joining us at Color Hues!
...because they SCREAM Fall. That's why you naturally gravitate to them. Both of your cards are simply gorgeous. Love that bloom in the orange hues with the olive-y green. Just gorgeous.
Amazing! Jo x
Stunning fall cards, Michele. Love the tones you chose.
These are both SOOOO pretty Michele! I love that stamp and the way it leaves a little bit of white for the shading...just BEAUTIFUL!! Hugs. :0)
When listing our favorite colors in our senior yearbook, I listed ORANGE as mine! That would give you a clue that I love these!
Oh so very beautiful Michele, when I saw the colour combo I thought that it would be a difficult one, but you made it look so easy.... twice!
I like those white highlights too! These are both so pretty. I think the second with the addition of the brown is my favorite!
Your cards are beautiful, Michele! Bravo on two inspiration projects.

It's a funny thing that I just ran across two card fronts I made with this set, Michele. I love them done in the oranges and even if it doesn't qualify that dark brown panel is elegant and shows off the flowers beautifully.
I just realized my set is Grateful Heart but it looks a lot like Fresh Blooms.
Oh goodness, Michele. These are wonderful. I just love the colors you chose to use on these florals. SO pretty and perfect for the season. In awe of your talent, that is for sure. Thanks so much for sharing it with us. Crafty hugs!
These are so pretty! I too love that the flower has a bit of white showing through! As for Brown...you are NOT disqualified! We made an amendment to our guidelines page as the DT and I thought it was already listed as a neutral! So you are good! Always love having you in our gallery at Color Hues!! Enjoy your day!
there's that green card again, I do love it. Anything in that vibrant green and you have won me over. It looks fabulous with that orange they compliment each other perfectly. There is nothing not to like on these cards xx
This looks like a winner to me! So happy to see you in the gallery, Michele! That flower is gorgeous, and I love the colors. Thanks for sharing the inks - I don't have that one yet. (wink**) Key word: yet.
These are some of the prettiest layered flowers I've seen, Michele! Love the brilliant Fall colors! The dotted white background and dark background give two completely different looks!
Orange and green never looked so good, Michele! You chose the most beautiful set of blooms for your cards...both are so pretty!
I am sure you were a florist in another life - your flowers are exquisite!
This is such a delightful bloom. Ihele! Thank you for playing with us at the Color Hues!
Both orange and green flower cards are fantastic, Michele! The dotted swirls texture background and the solid dark brown background show off the beauty of the flowers. The Goldfish Tails inks turned into a beautiful Fall Flower set!
I am totally besotted... They are both gorgeous but the 2nd one... Breathtaking!
Both are vibrant and stunningly beautiful Michele and so glad you shared both of them x.
These oranges look stunning together - so vibrant and they make for gorgeous flowers as well as fish tails apparently :).
Gorgeous Michele, just gorgeous! I love that flower stamp, and yes, I am loving the white highlights too. The colors you picked are definitely perfect fall colors. Love, love, love! Hugs, Brenda
