Friends, I know that you are heading toward the finish line of your holiday prep, and card sending but, I have made a card - lol! I think it turned out pretty enough for entry to a new-to-me challenge, and a much loved one, too!
First off, I must say my card was totally inspired by a very talented card-maker in our midst: Cornelia W. of Stempel Pass … you HAVE TO see it HERE! I am flabbergasted, and dumb-struck by her brilliance!
Soooo - can you believe it? I'm using blue again! AND that much loved Altenew Poinsettia stamp and partial cut with the coordinating die!
Cornelia colored her Poinsettia with a product I STILL don't own - yes, I am a little behind the times! But these Distress inks worked pretty well for water coloring in a loose-water-color way. Here's a little close-up:
This card will be added to two galleries - Day of the Month Club - Poinsettia, who have shared the story about how the Poinsettia became the most loved bloom at Christmas... and Christmas Kickstart #26 Last Minute Madness - I better get them delivered!
Thank you, Cornelia, for the most beautiful inspiration! xx
So very honored to win 1st place!!
Another gorgeous card! Love the partial die-cut and beautiful colour combo. Thanks for playing at The Christmas Kickstart again, always great to have you join the fun, Jo x
Partial die-cutting, one of my favorite techniques...and this lovely blue poinsettia...wonderful coloring. You've done both challenges proud.
Wow!! you truly have embraced the beauty of blue!! this is really remarkable Michele! I love the combination of bold and bright and soft and sweet!! Bravo!
Brilliant Michele! The blue is so out of the ball park and I adore it!
Oh I LOVE the Distress Ink on this Poinsettia!! GORGEOUS card. And I am starting my Xmas Cards for next year already as I bombed for this year and used a photo card for most of them. I am loving the background treatment of this card too!!
Thisi s absolutely GORGEOUS. I have had the pleasure of crafting with Cornelia - she lives in the NY Metropolitan area as do I. She is an amazing artist and such an interesting person. She turned me on to this challenge. I LOVE the beautiful blue and green hues you used on this card. It is a stunner.

Stunning card and love the colours. The distress inks work beautifully. So contemporary and artsy and fabulous loose water colouring. Cornelia's is stunning too x. I absolutely loved the delicate pink one you made earlier but loving them both equally now! x

Wow...Stunning Blue Poinsettia, Michele. I now have this gorgeous Altenew Poinsettia stamp set...because of you and our friend, Dolly. I don't think I will have time to play in this challenge, but will be watching for more Day of the Card Club challenges. Happy New Year, my friend. Hugs...Nancy
