CAS[E] this Sketch #270 Retro: 167

Our Retro Sketch has quickly become a favorite in the month ... everything old is new again these days!  From hairstyles to fashion... why not a remake of a card?

Here is my original card from April 2016:

And the Sketch:

Today, I lifted those design elements up, and used this wonderful Lil' Inkers die - a wonderful gift from a wonderful friend - and another die cut word!

Before anyone tells me I have my colors out of
rainbow-order, there is a reason for it!
The Sparkle shows much better on the orange!
Maybe you need a close-up for the Sparkle?

I've had such fun reimagining this Sketch ... do you have your original?  We'd love to see it, and your remakes in the CTS gallery this week!

=]  Michele

Supplies:
Lil' Inkers Fanfare Scallop border die - thank you, Jen!
Cardstock from my snippets bin
Stickles to add Sparkle to my Sparkle!

Michele, I LOVE this remake! The rainbow is perfect - out of order and all :) I am loving the delicate layers and the font of your sentiment die is such a perfect match for those sweet rainbow scallops! LOVE this card! AND your original :)

Fabulous cards, I remember the first one. Still love it. Your second card is one sweet pile of sherbet colors. On this hot day (90) its making my mouth water.

That fabulous die is nifty, what a fun card! And your new version for the sketch is delightful. Doesn't matter what order your colors are in, looks great to me!!

Both retro and current card are gorgeous! That scallop die is fabulous - such a fun look. BTW it's been a week or two since I visited, so I'm going to spend some pleasurable time browsing your latest posts.

Fabadoodles, Michele.
I so love these fonts you’ve shown today.
Will have to see if I can get hold of them. UK often sucks when it comes to things like this!
Ho hum... x

I do have my original, Michele, but have yet to think of a remake. I love both of yours and of course they feature die cuts. ;)

I love your take on this challenge, Michele! The subtle gray and bold red on your original card is beautiful and I love how you played with the colors of the rainbow on your re-make! I have to say...I didn't notice that your rainbow was out of order...I guess that's because your card is so fabulous :) You certainly know how to inspire us, my friend!
