Clearly Christmas - The Curtain Call

Will you please take a looky-loo at this gorgeous photo!!:

its name says it all!!

I may have taken this quite literally... well, you'll see... for Curtain Call - Clearly Christmas:

The polka dots are a gift from Tracey McNeely when I visited, which add the touch of turquoise I needed.  The little Darice snowman and trees are left from crafting with my grandkids last Christmas.
I apologize if I get this wrong, but I think the acetate cardstock came from SSS, in a 12x12 size.

Since the stickers had adhesive backs, it was easy as Christmas pudding to put together!
I am missing that lovely ribbon though... hmmm seconds anyone?

Reverse Confetti #19 It's hip to be square!!

Dec14

"That's me, square peg, round hole."  A line from my all-time favorite movie The Holiday, which I'll be watching ad nauseum starting this week!!

To the point... Reverse Confetti #19 SFYTT features lovely circles.  Have you guessed yet?  Yep.  Squares for me!  I had a few leftover squares from using the Papertrey Ink trio die the other day - in my very favorite alternative Christmas colors this year.  I'd also received a little package [early present to me] from Reverse Confetti which included these fabulous retro-looking snowflakes... could not resist them!!  What do you think?  It is hip to be square, right?

Another gorgeous Recollections papers, this time shimmery brown.  The boxes are PTI Pure Poppy, Chocolate, and SSS fog for those gorgeous Let it Snow flakes.
The sentiment is pure Reverse Confetti...
well a snip from one from their North Pole Wishes set stamped in S.U. Close to Cocoa.
Speaking of cocoa... think I'll have a cup!!

Less is More - 200th Challenge

I'd never liked too many design elements on one card, nor have I ever been very good at combining patterned papers, therefore, I was delighted to find and embrace CAS design.

Browsing about in Blogland I found two or three wonderful challenges that would do just that, challenge me to put CAS into play in my little crafty corner of the guest room.

"Less is More" is one of those challenges I so love.  Chrissie is just a darling.. she's in the UK from where my Grandmother Parker was born. [I'm still looking for a family connection =]  Her comrades are pretty special, as well - and all of them together on a team makes for really wonderful card-creations-browsing.

Thank you, Chrissie for inspiring me... I'll be a better card maker because of it!

For you, Anne, and Sarah, as you celebrate your 200th Challenge - I celebrate your very first challenge post of 5, February, 2011!  Congratulations - yes, let's party!!

Balloon-zero's are SSS dies; others are MFT, Wplus9 border Stars embossed with Ranger Detail Silver E.P.; and background Polka dots embossing folder from Cuttlebug.
A gorgeous 8.5"x4.25" tall card cut from Neenah Solar White 120# card stock.

I'd love to send this to you, Chrissie... email an address to me?  Thanks and cheers!

Paper Smooches - Warm Thoughts

Today I enjoyed a little crafty time.  I keep all of my Christmas/Holiday supplies together in one box so they are handy when I need them.  I came across a Paper Smooches set I hadn't inked up a some time - why not?  These dudes are too cool, not to warm a heart or two.

This one is for the Paper Smooches November Sparks Challenge - a first for me in a very long time!

A 4.25 square card today, using chocolate paper, and PTI Pure poppy paper & ink, and Triple window die - with a bit of partial die-cutting.  The bottom window is see-through.  Inside sentiment: . . . in winter are always welcomed.  Warm thoughts of YOU, turn me to slush!  [There may be a little melted snowman inside =]

Happy Thanksgiving! Gobble, gobble!

No card today... just a little photo that might make you smile!  I'm so thankful for each and every one of you, my card-crafty friends =]

Though this was taken a few years ago, they still visit almost daily... sometimes
with 20-30 of their best friends!

Thank you all, for the smiles you give me daily...
