Just us Girls #714

 I know I've shared a lot today, but I had time for one more card - this one is just for Just us Girls - Ina has a gorgeous Mood Board this week for challenge #714 ... 

I have used this Gerbera Daisy from Uniko so many times and it continues to be among my favorite sets.  It has been tucked into some fun places before but today I found a new place:

This sweet little pocket was a gift all the way from Denmark! It's a long story but an adventure we enjoyed so much! You can read about it HERE.

After delivering this one to JUGS, I'm going to take the rest of the day off ... maybe.

Just us Girls #671 Photo or Mood Board

There is no denying that creating cards using a Mood Board or photo has always been a favorite of mine ... thanks Elizabeth for creating this gorgeous board to inspire us all!

Hello again, my friends - week three as a Just us Girls guest designer was a delight!

I asked for an enlargement of the board, so I thought I'd share it with you - 

Don't think you can't combine a few of these photos if you want to - I did:

the daisies on the blue painted wood met up with the yellow gingham across the board, and even a little HELLO from the center square came together for my card today!  Enough said:

I just adore these Gerbera Daisies from Uniko - definitely Top 10 of my favorite sets!  I heat embossed in white onto watercolor cardstock, then used a few inks to add color with a water brush: mustard seed, mowed lawn, and CP Twilight to be exact.

We can't wait to see which photo[s] will inspire you to play cards with us this week!  Don't think you can't make more than one - wink!  Let's go see what the JUGS team made... I know I'm going to love them!

An inspiration knocked on my door! Just Add Ink #420

Yes.  This happened … Riesling Mama, in da house!

Maria, come back anytime … you look right at home here!

 

Maria and I shared tons of smiles, a few laughs, and even a few tears... it's amazing how easily we connect with far-away card making friends, isn't it!  It brings me such joy.

 

One of our conversations involved our 'how we got started card making' stories.  Maria reminded me how much I love to write sentiments, and also to participate in some of the fun challenges out there... I realized it has been too long since I just PLAYED cards!

 

A card made by my friend Jen from JENerally Speaking made the sweetest dotted card for Just Add Ink this week … I could not resist playing along with this beauty of an inspiration:

 

 

… and adding ink to my favorite Uniko Gerbera Daisy once again!

Of course, while I had these wonderful rainbow colors out, a second card just had to be made!  Why wouldn't it include butterflies?

 

 

 

I sure wish all my friends could flutter by … my door is always open - even if the door on the challenge is now closed!
